2 best tie out for dogs

A tie-out for dogs is a pet accessory used to keep dogs restrained and safe in outdoor environments, typically in yards or while camping. Here's what you should know about tie-outs for dogs:

  1. Purpose: A tie-out for dogs is designed to provide a safe and controlled way for dogs to enjoy outdoor spaces while preventing them from wandering off or getting into potentially dangerous situations.

  2. Components: A typical dog tie-out consists of a long cable or leash made of durable materials such as steel or vinyl-coated wire. One end of the tie-out is usually attached to a secure anchor point, such as a stake in the ground, a tree, or a heavy-duty wall mount, while the other end is connected to the dog's collar or harness.

  3. Variety of Lengths: Dog tie-outs come in various lengths to suit different outdoor spaces and dog sizes. Longer tie-outs provide dogs with more freedom to move around, while shorter ones offer more restricted movement.

  4. Outdoor Safety: Tie-outs are especially useful for outdoor safety. They allow dogs to enjoy the fresh air and explore the yard without the need for a physical fence. This can be particularly beneficial for dogs that are not trustworthy off-leash or in areas with potential hazards.

  5. Supervision: It's essential to supervise dogs while they are on a tie-out to ensure their safety. Dogs should not be left unattended for extended periods when tied out, as they may become tangled, bored, or anxious.

  6. Training Tool: Tie-outs can be used as a training aid for teaching dogs boundaries and obedience commands. They allow you to work on recall and other behaviors in a controlled environment.

  7. Compatibility: Make sure the tie-out you choose is appropriate for your dog's size and strength. Smaller dogs may require lighter-duty tie-outs, while larger, more powerful dogs will need heavier-duty options.

  8. Safety Considerations: Always use a properly fitting collar or harness when attaching the tie-out to your dog. Avoid using choke collars or any collar that could potentially harm your dog during tethering.

  9. Weather Resistance: Consider the weather conditions in your area when selecting a tie-out. Some tie-outs are designed to resist rust and weathering, ensuring they remain durable in outdoor conditions.

  10. Regular Inspection: It's important to regularly inspect the tie-out, anchor point, and your dog's collar or harness for signs of wear or damage. Replace any worn-out components to maintain safety.

In summary, a tie-out for dogs is a valuable tool for providing controlled outdoor freedom while keeping dogs safe and preventing them from roaming freely. When used responsibly and with proper supervision, tie-outs can enhance the outdoor experience for both dogs and their owners.

User questions & answers

Question: Is this too heavy for a 20 lb dog? Thanks
Answer: It's very lightweight but strong, I bought it for my 55 lb dog because he's strong. It is half the weight of my previous tie out and just as sturdy. It is thin enough for a small dog to use.
Question: When we bring our dogs inside, is it safe to leave the cords outside? Do they withstand rain and the elements well? Any problems with rust or decay
Answer: this cord is plastic coated so it shouldn't be a problem. I have had this cord outside since we have bought it with no problems (and that is Wisconsin over winter too) It is too long to be brought in and out anyway. I connect a leash to bring the dog in & out and connect the leash to the cable. (FYI- my leash broke but the cord is still in perfect shape)
Question: My 55 lb husky mix has destroyed runs made for 100lb dogs and shes really good about getting things unclipped would this hold her
Answer: We bought this tie out cable for our 58lb husky mix on 8/9/2019. In less than 10 months, the line itself developed a few breaks along the covering over the cable. Needless to say, the cable broke and thank goodness we were outside playing with him when it did as he’s a runner. He didn’t even jerk on it that hard for it to snap. We purchased another tie out from BD and it is holding up really well.
Question: Lots of heavy duty cables but which stake works for large strong dogs
Answer: Only one works. I have years of experience. Go to a junk yard, and get a car axle. Hammer it into the ground, leaving about six inches above soil level . No cement needed.

User questions & answers

Question: where this made in
Answer: I have had this machine for a several years, and it has never failed to work.
Question: is it strong or does it pop easily
Answer: No. It was designed only to be charged from a wall outlet or the USB port on your computer.
Question: How big are the clasps on cable for up to 35lbs? I just order one and they were so ridiculously huge I had to return it
Answer: This sound machine does not run on house current. You cannot just plug it into a wall socked. I comes with a white cord that connects to the back where it say's (Charge) the other end can be put into your computer. I wasn't happy about this at first but it is working out nicely. I just connected it to my computer and let it charge for the suggested 4 hours. You can listen to it while it is charging. This gives you a chance to listen to all of the offerings. After 4 hours it's ready to go. I read that the charge will last up to 14 hours. So far I have used it for about 40 hours without another charge. I just set it for 1 hour before I go to bed. When I wake up I set for 15 to 30 minutes just to listen to something nice before I start my day. When you are not using it be sure to turn is over and move the lock switch to the off position. This way the charge doesn't run down. When you go to use it just remember to put the switch in the unlock setting. Hope this helped.
Question: How do you replace a clasp that has broken
Answer: Thank you for your question. Yes, you can: Press the soft silicone top to move through the different light options. The silicone top will illuminate the color option selected. Note: the last color option moves through all 6 color options.
