Answer:	Capsaicin and Capsaicinoids 0.35%. Other ingreds contain Petroleum Distiiate 99.65%. This stuff works very well and is effective. I do recommend this product and carry it whenever we walk our dog.
Question:	How is this any different than standard pepper spray? Just branding
Answer:	It's not, other than the potential for strength differences between products. Mace is a brand that uses capsaicin pepper spray as well as tear gas. I'm not sure if tear gas can cause any complications for dogs or not.
Question:	Does this product have an expiration date? If so, how far out is it
Answer:	I sent www.halt.com an email 11/10/14 and as of this comment, no response back - yet. Nothing noted on containers for shelf life or expiration date.
Question:	How many shots can you get from one can
Answer:	Don't know yet, hope I never find out. But I have "fired" 4-5 short bursts so far and there seems to be plenty left in the can. Each time the barking stopped and the dog left. My rule is that a barking dog behind me is in an attack position; if it closes it gets a shot. A dog that actually attacked would get a facefull, not a warning shot.

Answer:	No, it is basically red pepper powder, so it doesn't hurt plants or grass

Question:	How do you know when batteries are fully charged
Answer:	Since it’s solar, I don’t know that it matters. I placed mine in the area feral cats congregated. It’s been out for a week and is working great. Cats are not harmed, but they’re no longer destroying my yard.
Question:	I turn my unit on and it consistanly makes noise and flashing lights...the motion sensor does not seem to be working. What is the issue
Answer:	When unit is turned on, it will make a buzzing sound and lights will flash. However, it does turns off when no movement is detected. In addition, as long as unit detects any type of movements, it will turn on. Should turn off when no movement is being detected.

Answer:	Yes work for groundhogs or woodchucks The way these devices to work is that they emit a sound that is outside of the human hearing range, but that is within the hearing range of animals, and this sound is said to be very irritating so that it will drive the animals away from the area.
Question:	Is the installation of this weird product complicated
Answer:	"This light, easy to use device was my first experience. I went through the user manual and installed the device. It worked well and got charged sufficiently during the day but I didn't notice significant changes in number of raccoons and squirrels in our yard. I decided to contact the seller before returning it to see if they had any advice. The thing that they suggested was to get another repellent as I had to repel two kinds of animals and based on my area one repellent wasn't enough. They sent me another one and after one week the result was great. Two devices on different modes fixed it all. I suggest to contact the seller before setting up your device and check the modes and numbers of repellent. I also had two suggestions for them that I mention here as well. They could increase the height of the rod and decrease the time of the alarm on mode 4. Meanwhile for whom might want to know, I set one of my devices on mode 4 and another on mode 2 .

Answer:	Yes. It repeatedly tore apart the trash and the lock to the shed it was in. We were beginning to worry that it would break the door to the house down so put some decoy trash in a bag in front of the shed. Heavy sprinkle. No more bear. Works for raccoons also. Question:	Directions say shake, move a piece then spraying. Anyone had trouble with being able to spray it quickly
Answer:	No. In fact, one time I wasn't prepared and it was on my belt (be sure to get the one with belt clip) and I was able to get it off my belt, shake it (just 2 shakes does it) , move the lever and spray before the dog got to us. I always give a warning shout (NO! or STOP!) to the charging dog, thinking if I run into that particular dog again, I can just give a warning and they'll know what's coming. Heh.
Question:	My dog becomes reactive when larger dogs attempt to dominate her. Would this spray get them to back off
Answer:	my dog is reactive when a loose dog approaches her because she's been attacked twice by loose dogs, and yes, it definitely has kept dogs away. You don't even have to actually spray the dog - i just spray the air at the dog and they hate the smell and run away. i think it works great and carry it on all our dog walks.

Question:	Can i use this on my dogs bed? She keeps making a mess on her bed and its a lot of laundry
Answer:	I put this on a rug that my dog kept peeing on. I had to soak it almost but it works. And he still use the rug as it was intended which I thought he would try to avoid because of the smell
Question:	Will this work outside on plants and shrubs that I can't exactly "clean off
Answer:	I use it on the pots on my patio because my three dogs are all male and they hike their legs on anything. They are small dogs so it works very well in that regard. I haven’t used it on plants because what I have outside doesn’t spill over and hang down. If I were you, I’d spray it on a few leaves and see what happens. Plants are all different about what they will tolerate.
Question:	Can i use this on my lawn
Answer:	This is not a very big bottle. I did spray a little on particular spots of my lawn and didn’t notice any damage. Unfortunately, this spray did not detour my dog at all. He did not see where I put the spray, when I let him out he went right to the usual spots, I was trying to keep him from.
Question:	How would one use this product with wooden floors
Answer:	Personally? I wouldn’t. I’m sure that after numerous sprayings hit would have to do some kind of damage to the area I’m actually not happy with the product as it really did not work anywhere near what I expected.
