Answer:	Sure, any sort of reasonably fresh water. Not recommended for saltwater.

We let my daughter keep hers in there a few days and then drained it. The constant need to change the battery is really the biggest issue with this fish.

Answer:	As a buyer of the 5 pack I would advise re-thinking wanting the figure 8 toy especially if your dog is like mine ... chewed pieces off of the soft plastic blue ball and X shaped center piece in a matter of a few minutes. Obviously concerned he might swallow them and need immediate visit to the Vet, I took away pieces and toy until I remove rest of blue plastic. Other 4 toys are fine as they are durable rope toys that tolerate 7 yr. old Golden Retriever chewing.

Although small pieces of plastic or rubber are inert and will normally pass through without problem, if left alone, your dog has a much greater potential of breaking off larger pieces which pose a greater risk of injury for your dog.

Answer:	I'm not sure about the color. For me, I picked a red ball and it is still going, although my dogs have annihilated the rope, the ball is still going strong.
