Answer:	I bought it as a gift for a dog that is considered medium to large I guess. With out a reference on the actual dog size you plan to buy for I would say no. Like the green round toy pictured I don't think a small dog would be able to grasp it in its mouth. If it were any bigger, he would not be able to catch it or carry it in his mouth. It is a rugged toy and he hasn't been able to chew it to destroy the squeaker, so I'm impressed.
