Answer:	Mine had a couple imperfections; scratches and dents, nothing serious though. Tbh I dont plan on opening it or touching it often so I dont see it as that much of an issue though considering there are no issues with the side that has the picture that most people will be looking at.

Answer:	No. If you're referring to the removable tray the older model had, that you could put flat items on, the new model doesn't have that. The new model is also smaller than the old model.

Answer:	I would leave the ashes sealed in something but you could put whatever that is inside of the box. That is what we are doing with ours.

Answer:	No, it's not wood. Not sure where it says carved, but a better word would be "engraved". It's a beautiful urn. The brown is beautiful as it holds my beloved "chocolate lab".

I can say that there won't be much ash to put into the urn. My dog weighed 22lbs and the smallest urn could hold probably 10 times the amount of ashes that resulted from his cremation.I hope this helps.

Extra room is okay, but too small is definitely not good. The outside dimensions are about 3x5 inches with 3inches being the width. This is a beautiful urn and I received the blue one. Very sturdy and great quality, just smaller than described. I saw order the large for your baby. Sorry for your loss.
