| Answer: | I have these pads. They are thicker than any other pads I have tried and are better leak proof than other pads. However, they will leak if urine sits on pad for longer periods of time. So I buy cheaper thinner pads and I keep a cheaper pad underneath these thick Four Paws wee wee pads. That way if I am away long enough for the pee to leak thru the Four Paws wee wee pad, the cheaper pad underneath keeps it from going thru to the floor. Then I just toss both pads. If it doesnt leak thru I just put new Four Paws wee wee pad on top of the same cheaper pad that is already there. This system works for me. Only problem I occasionally have is if they pee on blue plastic edge, then the pee rolls onto floor. Luckily this just happens every once in awhile. |

I also have a senior cat who has reverted to pee-ing standing up instead of squatting (she has arthritis in her hips and, in addition, is one of the short-legged breeds). I actually put one on the floor under the litter box and then tape another one to the wall (half of an extra large one is on the wall, the rest is level to the floor and partially under the litter box. I use painter's tape which doesn't damage the wall and have found this works very well. One of my favorite things about these pads is that they don't shred or fall apart like others I've tried. I, too, used to use washable ones, but am much happier with these disposables. |

| Answer: | I can't explain why, but I can let you know that your dog is not alone. I also has a small dog and he often walks into the wee wee pad and doesn't exactly get it where is should go. He also goes outside when walking and puts his front paws in the grass and pees right on the sidewalk. The pads with the insta-rise border has made a big difference, so if you haven't tried them yet I do recommend that you try them. I also put my wee wee pad on top of something that you can pick up and toss in the washing machine....it is much easier than shampooing the carpet, or constantly mopping your floor. (I use bath mats, they are thick enough to keep the wet from soaking all the way thru) Good luck! |

Aside from that, its not that bad. It serves its purpose. I also Add some magazine paper underneath the Pad before I secure it to prevent the plastic from smelling like urine and having "leftover" accidents leak through the pad. |

Two of the holders I use have a hard plastic frame that drops over the pad. The third has slits at the corner that you push a bit of the pad through to hold it in place. Both types work well. Whatever type of fastener will probably hold the pad. I was only dealing with very small pups. |
