Answer:	There are plenty of different blades available, online and at pet shops. You want Oster blades, and they really haven't changed the design in at least 40years. I have a couple of #10s and also use #8 and even a #40 to clean the unseen tummy area where they might get mats

Answer:	The clippers will get hot. Besides the blade getting hot, you will feel it in your hand from the body of the clipper. I check the blade periodically by putting the flat of the blade on the back of my hand or cheek. I don't believe the dogs feel the heat much when you are clipping the body of the coat but you need to be careful of their faces, feet and other sensitive parts if you clip them. I blow on their feet while clipping if I am close to being done with the task. Otherwise, I let the clippers cool & do something else such as brushing or clipping toenails while the clippers cool.

Answer:	Can't compare them to other models, as I have not ever used any other model of clipper. I use them about once every couple of weeks to clip my kitty's long hair around her nether regions. I run them about 5 min at the most. During that time they do not get hot - they barely get warm. They do run surprisingly quiet. Hope that helps.

Answer:	Cats skin are paper thing and when you cut it it rips and can become a large would very quickly. Typically won’t bleed but you will need to go to a vet so they can glue it back together. ONLY USE A 10F blade or a 10 cat blade.

Answer:	It says, "The intended continuous operating time is 20 minutes." It also says that it is for commercial use only...whatever that means. We have used it a few times now to shave down our goldendoodle and we have not had any problems with it overheating.

Answer:	I am a professional groomer. I bought and used the Oster A6 for two weeks before it started falling a part. I have never used the durable A5. I would highly suggest that you do not buy the A6, it is a piece of junk.

Question:	I am new to this – so I hope this is nota stupid question. Do combs come with this set? Isnt it the combs that allow to cut longer or shorter
Answer:	No it does not come with combs. It depends on the blade size for how short the hair cut will be. The higher the number, the shorter the cut. The letter F after the number means fine. If your dog has a thick coat you don’t want an F blade. This one comes with a 10 blade which is pretty short. I have a schnauzer and for her cut I had to buy a 7F for her body and a 3F (I should have bought a 3 because of how curly her fur is).

Answer:	I would ask the manufacturer to know for sure. I have never owned a cat and would not want to give you bad information. My guess is yes but best to contact the Oster people. I love it for my Shih-tzu.

Answer:	I don't know. I have an oster clipper that I bought at Walmart and I tried to use it on my dog and it did not cut at all! So, I ended up calling oster and they offered to send me a clipper that would clip for an additional 65.00 and the return of the clipper. Turns out I had purchased a cheapo clipper that Oster made only for Walmart. So, call Oster and ask them directly. Their # is on the internet. Hope that helps.

Answer:	Absolutely. This is the only ever buy! Last one lasted 11 years. These are actually pet clippers. The normal human ones always get dull fast. These ones work on my bristle nicely. Answer:	Yes, it can be used for matts. Wahl recommends the use of a slicker brush to remove tangles. When encountering stubborn matts or tangles, use liquid detangler or baby oil, gently massage it into the trouble spot and brush it out. It the matt will not give, then you can uses the clippers to remove the matt. You may want to use scissors to loosen the matt so it stops pulling the skin or to remove some of the matt's bulk then use the clippers.
