Otherwise, you can get guard combs for the 5-in-1 blades. These are different than the standard guard combs since they slide onto the blade and do not clip on.

I use these trimmers for nitpicking around the legs and face and ears. I’ve used this on a full body haircut for a small 12lbs. Dog but even then it was a lot of switches between blade lengths and guard combs.
