It works on mats that can be pulled apart with your fingers. it won't work on mats that are knotted tightly and tight to the skin ( no product will work on these types of mats). Most cats have very fine fur and typically get very tight mats unless they are caught early. If your cat won't let you comb him, the product doesn't take the mats out without working them with a brush or comb, so the best thing to do would be to have the mats shaved out and start using a product like this to keep up with his coat in the future. |
