Answer:	I have a 140 lb pyrenees. It is a decent size for a food bowl but I use a larger one for water. It is 7 inches wide at top and about 5.5 inches on bottom, 3 inches deep. Hope that helps.

Answer:	I don't know of any other cat food dispenser. However, we filled this dispenser with chockful of cat food pellets because we were going on vacation. We left this outdoor in the patio because we have an outdoor cat. This was a big mistake. All of the animals in the neighbourhood devoured it within the same day. They toppled the dispenser and was able to shake out every last bit of food. My poor cat had to fend for itself while we were away. We are now back to giving the pet daily portions.

Answer:	There's no need to "push the spring" on this canister if there is water in the plastic canister. The bowl should fill up automatically and will stop filling once the stainless steel container is full of water. Once the plastic canister is full of water, check the black lid to be sure the O-ring is in place and the lid is secured correctly on the canister before tipping it over to let water flow into the bowl. We love this water station and have had no issues with it whatsoever. It fills perfectly. I also love the fact that I can thoroughly clean the stainless steel bowl in between fills as my dog can get it pretty dirty, and the canister itself is easy to fill.

Answer:	I have not, but be aware this is a plastic frame and the legs have no crossbar. It is fairly sturdy at the lowest setting, but I use it for my Golden Retrievers at the highest setting and I think the weight of ceramic bowls might be a bit much at that setting.

Answer:	Probably not, they could crawl up one of the leg stands. I keep mine inside and have not had an ant problem.

Answer:	I think it would be a bit small for a grown up Great Dane (they can grow to 30-32 inches height if he's male). To be honest there is no elevated dog bowls on Amazon can perfectly fit such large breed. They're still really cute bowls, but don't be mislead by the name they chose for the color. These are simply black.

Answer:	You need at least an XL bowl. I bought the large which is about 6 inches in diameter and my two little dogs share it. But for a Lab with a larger mouth and increased food needs I would get the XL if they have one. I love the bowl, it is easy to keep clean and it stays in one place.
