Answer:	I don't know about Florida, but we live in the Pacific Northwest, and I have been driving around with it in the back of my pickup for the past 3 years, and it is still in great shape. It rains alot here in the winter, and it can get pretty cold, plus it gets hot in the summer, and I have not had any problems with it cracking or warping, and the traction surface has not peeled off at all.

Answer:	the sandpaper surface was too abrasive for my dog's pads, so I put velcro and carpet on it for traction. That wouldn't work in water. Also I have found that the ramp slips around where it's edge rests on the tailgate and I have to hold it steady. This wouldn't work very well for a boat...even more slippery. pick something with good rubber feetPS...edited this post to include saying that if your dog is under 40lbs it should work fine if you attach better rubber grips to the "boat end" of the ramp

Answer:	I have a Subaru Forester and an old Norwegian Elkhound. This ramp works for us just fine! Tell you what, though: the angle is the thing. Find the specs for this ramp - the length, specifically. Then use a a stiff tape measure or something of equal length at the rear of your Outback to the ground to approximate the angle. That way, you can be the judge of whether your dog can handle it.Additionally, there is a world of dog ramps out there, widths & lengths. Maybe your dog needs a longer one (and therefore a less steep angle.) You'll have to figure that out.Good wishes.

Answer:	Absolutely. My 98 lb. German Shepherd gets into our SUV as well as into the back of my husbands extended cab GMC Truck with this ramp. It takes a little coaching and guidance at first - she was very hesitant to use it the first few times, but now she sees us put it up, and waits at the bottom - we always hold on to her collar because of the angle, just make sure she doesn't walk over the side. Question:	Can this be used on a sofa. My very old Westie is having trouble with the incline on a shorter ramp
Answer:	It does work on a couch. a nimble dog may be able to use the half step version of this ramp but some dogs might need the extra length this offers for a very gentle climb.Along similar lines - If you have a tall bed and a dog that struggles you will need this full length version. For someone shopping for a younger dog that could handle a smaller jump you might use the half ramp version set on the boxspring and let them jump from the ramp to the top of the mattress while saving much of the stress load. A full length ramp can run along the side of the bed if you have a bedside table of some sort, just make sure the dog wont slip off that surface. i.e. you might need a shelf liner or gripper for a rug or something for sure footing if wood and your dog wont eat it. Surely only some people have big enough rooms to run this perpendicular to the foot of the bed. As far as I've found there weren't any legs or a landing specifically for use as a ramp running alongside the foot of the bed. They sell legs to turn it into a full table and straps for car doors (when you cant load your dog through the back of an SUV for instance. so maybe one day.

Answer:	It most definitely would fit in the back seat of an Outback. You could even put it in the back where your pet is riding, we fold ours and then lay it flat, our dog is in her crate and the crate, which is 18 x 24 fits in fine and the ramp folds in half and lays flat next to her. I have posted a few prior reviews on this ramp, we truly love it, and it is left outside on our deck steps year round, and we live in New England, so it withstands pretty much anything!

Answer:	I am considering buying this ramp and have read most of the reviews before I make my decision. I just read a review dated 2011 that these sharp edges have since been corrected and the once sharp edges are now a sturdy protective plastic.

Answer:	I measured the height of my wife's Jeep - two feet to edge of back (aft) floor. Nine year old, overweight cocker, after one initial try, goes up and down easily. If the height of your vehicle (3 feet) creates too steep an incline, gluing some traction strips might help. The ramp is very versatile, but we still guard the dog, ascending and descending.

Answer:	I don’t know the weight but do not buy. It is too steepl the material is slick and my yorkie slides backwards. It is poorly made. Comes apart easily and does snug up to anything.

Answer:	Haven't used in winter but has been used in rain and complete darkness. Has plenty of non skid so the dogs get good traction and wasn't hard to get them used to using the ramp. They actually like it. I weigh 230 lbs and have used it myself part way on to help me get in truck bed tent. It is a good ramp. Don't tell anyone I was using it for myself. LOL

Answer:	I suspect it has a little dirt or grit between the two ramp pieces. You may be able to flush it out by running some water in the area between the inner and outer ramp. I would not use any kind of lubricant (oil) because it will just become a dirt magnet and will eventually make things worse.
Question:	Is this available in a lighter color wood
Answer:	it would be a steep ascend/descend for the dog, but it would hold just fine. it is very sturdy. Personally, I would avoid going all the way into the garage and may pull out a bit so the ramp could extend longer, just because the climb would not be so steep and it would be much easier for the dog especially if it is a larger dog. My dog is a lab/ retriever an she does better with more length

Answer:	Just measured ours, and from the outside "bumper to bumper" it is 16-3/4" wide. The inside "bumper to bumper" (the tread part) measures 13-1/4" wide. Hope that helps. It really is a great ramp. We have an 85 pound retriever and use this ramp for him to get into the back seat of a Tundra pickup.

Answer:	The dimensions listed with the item details are correct when the ramp is unfolded. Folded, the ramp is 27" x 16" x 7". My best guess at weight is approximately 10lbs.

Answer:	Depending on how high your bed maybe. This ramp may not be stable enough putting it on the bed. The steeper the ramp angle the more difficult it will be for your dog. My 12 yr old dog can just make it up the ramp into my SUV. However, the ramp does help. I use it for the front steps outside my house. I hope this helps you. Question:	can this ramp be used on the back seat car door? or just the back
Answer:	When in it's folded position, it is 8 inches high (16x26 inches wide/long) and is sturdy enough to use as a step stool for my 67lb older dog to get in to the back seat of the SUV. It does not fit as a ramp to the back seat of my Outlander, it tips and is unsafe - the door does not open wide enough to set it securely. I use the ramp for loading him in the back of the SUV and the folded stool for getting him in the back seat.

Answer:	I have a VW Golf 4 door and two german shepherds that weigh in at about 100lbs each. The angle would be steeper to get it to the tailgate of the truck, but it would be sturdy enough if you can convince your dogs to climb up it. My old dog (for whom i got the silly thing) acted like i was trying to get her to do something terrible. the tread material on it is also VERY scratchy. Like if you drag your knuckles on it, its gonna scrape you kind of scratchy. Dont slide it on the bumper when you're putting it in the truck either because it will scratch your paint. we ended up putting carpet stair treads on it to get our dogs to walk up and down because they have them on their steps at home and they were less weirded out about walking up it then. it is easy to unfold and fold with one person though, and its lightweight, but sturdy.
