I would have no hesitation in recommending this leash to anyone for a quality product as long as you understand that the grip and handle are very small. I know I'm blowing one note about that but it is the most outstanding fact about this leash. |

This did not come with a harness, and I felt the harness was almost necessary because the dog didn't choke from suddenly leaping forward and it was easier on my shoulder--less strain if you have an active dog. I bought the harness separately and I am not seeing a brand. It was mesh fabric like Sketchers shoes uses, so breathable, spread the stress, and washable . | Answer: | I had an original flexi 3-5 made in DE lasted well over 5yr probably closer to 10yr. We tried a tape, not sure the brand, hated it. Kept twisting and kinking like a tape measure. Never had an issue with my or dog leg burns! Today cord (not string as some call it) still in perfect condition stopped retracting, metal spring inside gave up! Will probably try this, but just seems strange that black is 10 bucks cheaper than red! Maybe will try the harbor freight idea first. |

The tape leashes are very resistant and ideal for powerful, larger dogs. The flexi tape guidance offers high comfort, ensuring that the tape will follow your dog in every direction, while smoothly rolling-out and retracting. When not in use, the tape fully retracts up to the chromed snap hook.

| Answer: | Hi there! Gee, I'm not 100% positive, but I do think there is a warranty on these leashes. Best to call Flexi directly to be sure. I've read the description here, and it's not saying anything about "lifetime warranty". Hope this helps! |

| Answer: | The new handle is slightly different in shape and has a slot in the bottom to insert the spring I suppose. I have one old and one new, unless they were side by side, they appear similar. The quality on the new one matches the old. |

| Answer: | Quite likely depends on where you live/use the leash. In Colorado I use two of these and they have been soaking wet, and never damaged or moldy. Very nice leashes - never get stuck or tangled up inside the mechanism. |
