Answer:	That strip is easier to get a hold of to hook the dog up or take the hook off. You can burn your hand on the cord. Strips are safer.

Answer:	I like this brand. The dog size may dictate whetheryou get a 9 foot or 16 foot. There is a way to brake the leash so it does not extend, which is helpful when you are teaching your puppy to walk with you and not just shoot off. Once he or she is more calm you can use the retractable feature. This did not come with a harness, and I felt the harness was almost necessary because the dog didn't choke from suddenly leaping forward and it was easier on my shoulder--less strain if you have an active dog. I bought the harness separately and I am not seeing a brand. It was mesh fabric like Sketchers shoes uses, so breathable, spread the stress, and washable . Question:	What is the difference between the cord and the tape? I’m confused
Answer:	Just buy a new retractable leash. If you try to repair it the spot where you mend will interfer with the mechanism that allows for automatic retraction and it wont work properly any longer. 15 years is a long time, get a new leash.

Answer:	I am a classical percussionist and this is my personal opinion: If you are looking for splash cymbals (6" - 12") that beautifully resonate when struck by hands or fingers, sorry the truth is you can only find that in thin splashes made with high grade metals. The SBRs are a great beginner cymbal for beginner kit players using sticks, but leave it at that. The Sabian HHX Evolution line (or competing brand equivelant) I find to be incredibly responsive to finger touch. I think I saw in a video that, when helping to design the series, Dave Weckl believed and asked that when creating and testing the HHX cymbal line the cymbals should first respond well to finger touch, then to sticks. I hope this helps someone's purchasing decision.

The length of the lead would be ideal for your little one.... Enough room for some distance and freedom but short enough to easily reign in should you need to. The leash is top quality but you must have small hands to operate it. I would have no hesitation in recommending this leash to anyone for a quality product as long as you understand that the grip and handle are very small. I know I'm blowing one note about that but it is the most outstanding fact about this leash.

Answer:	I think the size of the leash housing is determined mainly by the handle (has to fit both big and small hands) and the length of the leash. I find it light and easy to work with. I have a 50 lb. beagle/hound and she has taken off after a squirrel or whatever and come abruptly to the end with a strong jerk. The leash didn't break and nothing came loose, so it's a strong and well-made product. Probably stronger than what you need with your 5 lb. dog, but it will certainly do the job.

Answer:	Sorry I can't confirm that the medeium is belt or cord. I saw that too when I ordered mine - didn't want a cord so I went with the large instead. Was pleasantly surprised when it came that it is not bulky and would be what I would have considered the medium size to be. With XL hands all the Flexi fit and some models have adjustment for large to small hands with an adjustment in handle for width across fingers/knuckles. There's a wheel in handle that moves to change handle width BUT of our 5 or 6 Flexi in all sizes all fit even with out adjustment. I actually use sm/medium below our Golden dog weight because a socialized dog almost never pulls hard and these lease weight listings are overly cautious. Nor does string or tape matter to me except in crowds tape might be easier to see for others.

Answer:	Yes they are still made. I found mine on amazon, but could probably also find at PetSmart. I checked local (small) pet store and they did not carry them but I was also looking for a longer length and not just 16 feet or so. Found it on Amazon.

Answer:	Cord lasts longer and does not stick in the mechanism. The tape is flat and twists around necessitating taking the unit apart and rewinding by hand after getting out the kinks. Yes the cord can cut your hand if you try to use your hand to grab the cord instead of using the brake built into the handle but so can the tape to a lesser extent. This should only be an issue if you are not paying attention to your dog and surroundings. If your dog is small and under 15-20 pounds the tape should be OK but for any active dog over 20 pounds the cord in my opinion is the way to go.
Question:	Does the nylon tape roll back into the handle smoothly or does it get twisted
Answer:	Mine was 26ft tape leash for large dogs which is rated @ 110lbs. It’s a strong lead. Not sure if you could be pulled waterskiing on it but close....;-) Seriously though, it’s not the weight of the dog as much as how hard they pull. I have a 75lb ridgeback that will literally pull so hard she’d injure you going after some type of prey. This leash has always held up.
Question:	Does this have a pullout crank handle to reel the dog back in like fishing
Answer:	not sure of company warranty...I walk Great Pyrenees on these leashes and one will usually last 1-1 1/2 yr without incident

Answer:	The Small, Medium, and Large leads are all 16 feet (5 meters) when fully extended.
Question:	Is it easy to lock and release
Answer:	It has clasps on both ends of the extender. Clasp on to the end of the leash & then clasp the extender on to the collar or harness. This little extender has been most helpful in protecting the actual leash from getting destroyed. My puppy loves to bite it & play tug of war with it. Hope this helps:)
