Answer:	I have a SMALL for a 7lb female cat. We use the harness to keep her from (possibly) falling off the balcony. It still allows her to jump and try to catch birds (we have a bird feeder) -- no worries, its supervised so no birds are actually harmed. Once she did wrestle out of it because she got scared of a frog. Other than that it serves its purpose. I wouldn't use it for walking your cat.

Answer:	My dog has 11" neck and 17" girth (around her middle) and is wearing the XS. The neck size is irrelevant since the harness is not around the neck.

Answer:	Hmmm I don't know what that is. If you mean using it to tie a dog outside with this on, I guess one could. But best used with a 6 ft leash and a walk with the 4-legged's best friend.

Answer:	I would not recommend this particular harness. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Gooby Choke Free Perfect Fit Active X Step-In Synthetic Lambskin harness! I have bought both, and the softer straps make all the difference!! The straps on this design are stiff and scratchy. The width of the size small straps are 1/2”, and the med and large size straps are 3/4”. My 6lb yorkie wears a small, and my 9.7lb Shih Tzu wears the med. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the faux lamb skin straps, and the V-Neck harness of the other harness!!

Answer:	I don’t know. You’ll have to look at the measurement guide. My dog was borderline so I went with the larger size but she pulls a lot and stretched it out a little bit. The slight stretch was enough that whenever she was off leash, she would get one leg out of leg hole. I ended up buying the smaller one and love it!

Answer:	It’s always best to measure your dog throughly, maybe 2-3 times just to make your the number you get are correct. I do know pugs run a bit big in the chest department so you may have to get a size that may seem a bit big. But do remember that the harness does have sliding parts to help tighten it up and the harness itself does tighten when pup pulls.

Answer:	Ordering a small now for my mini doxie. She and her sister both have this harness in med for about 3 yrs now. The med is loose around my smaller one's neck and taken all the way in at the chest. It still fits my larger doxie fine. There's probably about 1 lb difference between the two. You won't find another that fits a doxie as well as this one.
Question:	My Maltese has a 7" neck, 13" chest (about 1" behind legs). Will suze Small harness work for him
Answer:	I have a Shih Tzu about the size of a Maltese (about 14 lbs). He used to wear the small but it was a bit tight and could tangle the fur in his 'arm pits' so I opted for the medium which is a bit big but works fine. That said it is stretchy so you could probably go either way. It is a good product at a good price.

Answer:	They do run small. I have a 30lb dog and we had to order a larger size because of the space where the front legs go is not a lot. When we found the right fit, we really like this harness.

Answer:	Actually, this harness was returned because it was too small for my dog. But there is only hooks for the top part of the dog. We have another collar to use on her neck - not the chest.

Answer:	Hello Lilly, I can't imagine that it would be too loose. In addition, you should be able to make some limited adjustments. Please factor in the chest size as you mentioned and while adjusting try not to be be too restrictive around the neck. I find in most cases the adjustments will suffice, but my concern, as is yours, would be some pet owners go overboard and it becomes too restrictive around the neck. Good question. Answer:	It could be. When my dog is at daycare they leave harness on and just disconnect the leash. It is not a good idea to leave it on 24 hours a day 7 days a week though. No harness should be left on permanently. I love this harness. I have purchased two. There are two clips so you can have a leash clipped on and still have a clip to clip your pet into the car for a seat belt. I have a 65 pound pitbull/cattledog mix and it works great.
