Answer:	This ramp is very short and ended up being too steep for my dogs to climb up it into the back of our Honda Pilot. I even tried using it to get them into the back seat of our Subaru Legacy, but they wouldn't even try it. I'm really disappointed.

Answer:	Ramps generally come with fold capability. Yours is a large dog and I think he should have the large (71") ramp. I was looking at a 32" bi-fold (opens to 72" or so) for my 48 lb collie/sheepdog. Biggest problem here is that it will be heavy to carry, open, and "install" in a car. I very much liked the artificial grass-like surface for keeping the pup from slipping. Good luck.

Answer:	Not exactly sure the dimensions when folded. However, it will NOT fit on any floorboard. I drive a 2014 Subaru Forester and folded it still took up half my space in the back of my SUV which is mid-size. Also, it will slip when unfolded for the dog to use. The little strap to secure it pulled off mine with just 1 use. Then my dog which is a Dogo refused to use it. Good not even once and yes if you have a large sized dog, it is a waste of money.

Answer:	I don't know about Florida, but we live in the Pacific Northwest, and I have been driving around with it in the back of my pickup for the past 3 years, and it is still in great shape. It rains alot here in the winter, and it can get pretty cold, plus it gets hot in the summer, and I have not had any problems with it cracking or warping, and the traction surface has not peeled off at all.
Question:	How does the ramp hold on to the surface? I'm considering this for the dive platform of my boat so that my dog can get in and out of the water
Answer:	the sandpaper surface was too abrasive for my dog's pads, so I put velcro and carpet on it for traction. That wouldn't work in water. Also I have found that the ramp slips around where it's edge rests on the tailgate and I have to hold it steady. This wouldn't work very well for a boat...even more slippery. pick something with good rubber feetPS...edited this post to include saying that if your dog is under 40lbs it should work fine if you attach better rubber grips to the "boat end" of the ramp

Find the specs for this ramp - the length, specifically. Then use a a stiff tape measure or something of equal length at the rear of your Outback to the ground to approximate the angle. That way, you can be the judge of whether your dog can handle it.Additionally, there is a world of dog ramps out there, widths & lengths. Maybe your dog needs a longer one (and therefore a less steep angle.) You'll have to figure that out.Good wishes.

Answer:	I have a Lhasa and a chihuahua. The Lhasa took to it after 3 or 4 treats and encouragement. The chi will go up the stairs with guidance but jumps off the bed and avoids the stairs. I first purchased the three step because of the height of my bed but they hit their legs on the steps every time so that they avoided them. I am returning those because the steps are too narrow even for small dogs. Now I have the 2 step and those steps are 12” deep so they can get their whole body on them and they are starting to go up and down with far less reminding and encouragement. I put a bench at the foot of the bed which acts as a third step and they seem to be able to see where they are headed easier and climb up and down without slipping or hitting their legs. The three step is just too steep and too narrow on the steps, only 9” deep. The two step 12” deep step makes a huge difference for them Theses steps are solid and do not move or make noise so w think they will be using them on their own very soon.

Answer:	I bought a 96inch (8foot) aluminum ramp from Discount Ramps. It is more than 15 inches wide and holds 20 pounds. I have it in a permanent position on my porch. It isn't heavy but it would be a pain to get the dog in and out of a car or truck since it is bulky. It has been outside on my porch in NJ and has gone through hot humid summers and lots of snow for years. $165.00. It has a sandpaper type of tread so the dog won't slip off.

Question:	Can this be used outdoors in steps? I have an older basset hound that struggles to get down steps (just 3 of them) to go outside and do his business
Answer:	Sure you can use it outside but will it be too steep? You mentioned you have three steps, but you must remember the ramp will lay on the top step, so measure from that height, to the length of the ramp. That will give you the slope rise. My 12 yr. old poodle uses mine gingerly. I take it to use everywhere but mainly from couch to floor or floor to bed. It has a gravel like feel to where they walk on it. Answer:	It is sturdy w a good grip pad surface but it was too wide for the back of my 4-door Honda Accord. It does work w my husband's Honda Element but it has two doors that open out (suicide doors). Definitely check measurements for the width.

Answer:	I amusing one to transition 3 steps for my Llasa Apso without the ramp being too steep. The ramp should actually reach 1 more step in height if your dog can deal with the slope angle. My dog has short legs and hip displacia forcing no more than 45 degrees

Answer:	I'm really not sure about that, my dog is only 11 lbs and I use the ramp for him to get in and out of the house, only one step. Never tried using it for him to get into my car. It's a terrific ramp and really solved my problem I had with him, but your Collie is a much bigger dog. May I suggest you contact the supplier directly and see if they know if that will work for you. I hope your dog gets better, my little guy hurt his back leg several months ago and is finally back to his old self. But I continue using the ramp because he gets in and out of the house with no problem at all. Good luck!

Answer:	I have a VW Golf 4 door and two german shepherds that weigh in at about 100lbs each. The angle would be steeper to get it to the tailgate of the truck, but it would be sturdy enough if you can convince your dogs to climb up it. My old dog (for whom i got the silly thing) acted like i was trying to get her to do something terrible. the tread material on it is also VERY scratchy. Like if you drag your knuckles on it, its gonna scrape you kind of scratchy. Dont slide it on the bumper when you're putting it in the truck either because it will scratch your paint. we ended up putting carpet stair treads on it to get our dogs to walk up and down because they have them on their steps at home and they were less weirded out about walking up it then. it is easy to unfold and fold with one person though, and its lightweight, but sturdy.

Question:	can this ramp be used on the back seat car door? or just the back
Answer:	When in it's folded position, it is 8 inches high (16x26 inches wide/long) and is sturdy enough to use as a step stool for my 67lb older dog to get in to the back seat of the SUV. It does not fit as a ramp to the back seat of my Outlander, it tips and is unsafe - the door does not open wide enough to set it securely. I use the ramp for loading him in the back of the SUV and the folded stool for getting him in the back seat.
