Answer:	Hi, I humbly advise that this carrier should be a decent fit for your full grown shih tzu.

Answer:	My carrier is approx. 20 high by 15 wide. This is without extending the handle making it a "roll-along" vehicle for your pet. My cat has plenty of room in the container and weights about 13 pounds. The handle extends out for a comfortable length to take your pet for a little street ride. There is a strap connected to the carrier with a clip on the end to attach to your pet's collar. This way you can have the top canopy unzipped and your pet can physically have its head outside, but unable to leave the unit held in by the collar strap. Two side pockets that zip one for treats and the other for cleanup materials. Using it as a backpack is also great. I sometimes use the backpack on backwards, i.e. the pet in front of me instead of behind me. If the pet is nervous this usually calms the pet down when they can see you. Great for transporting to and from the vets in a vehicle too. I can't say enough great things about this item for pets.

Towards the end of his life, my 16 pound cat dropped to just under 12 pounds but with his long legs and long body, he was still a tight fit size wise. New kitty has short legs and a compact body and is 10 pounds and has room to move around.

Answer:	Very sturdy. I take mine everywhere, my 7 lb. Yorkie loves riding in it. She feels safe there. No wear at all.

Answer:	I used it for my 9 lb dog. Worked very well. And fit under the seat just fine
Question:	Can this be used as a back pack too
Answer:	I don't see why not. My dog is about 12 pounds and she fits in it handily. I much prefer the stroller I use daily but I'm glad I bought this for the occasional trips on the bus. As I mentioned in my review, it's not the greatest quality but the price is right. If you plan to use it to fly, check with the airline first. I think some airlines do not permit two animals in one carrier. Also, the zipper on mine tends to come open so be mindful of that.

Question:	my little shintzu is 14 lbs. would she fit in it
Answer:	My chihuahua is 7 lbs and fit fine. Not sure about 14 lbs. May be a little cramped, but should still fit
