Why does the bed have a 2-inch non-memory foam base?

Is the cover durable?

Upon Receipt

Your dog bed will arrive rolled up and vacuum sealed in a relatively small box. Unroll and lay completely flat. Please allow up to 24 hours for it to fully decompress.

Question:	Can I put it in the dryer? Will it shrink
Answer:	I do not think it is washable. The foam is intended to be inserted into a washable fabric cover (denim?), check laundry directions for shrinkage. At a minimum, it’s advised to bathe your dog at least once every three months. You can wash your dog as frequently as every other week (with gentle shampoo, it could be even more frequent). When in doubt, use your judgment — if your dog starts to smell, it’s probably time for a bath.
Question:	If a dog tries to dig this, how easily will it break
Answer:	My dog is 66 pounds. I purchased this a month ago for my older dog with arthritis as a replacement refill for her bed. I don't think it would work as a step up because she does sink a bit when she lays down on it. It was a great replacement for her bed.

Answer:	If you use a really sharp knife. They are thick. They also have smaller sizes. My dog loves his!

Answer:	Not easily. Our Pomeranian digs & scratches at every bed. This one has held up without a single tear.

Answer:	The whole cover zips off to wash. I just washed it last week, and it was really easy to get on and off. It also cleaned up very nicely in the washer. I dried it on low to avoid shrinking.

Answer:	No it doesn't sink, we have 4 dogs all from 50-110 pounds they all sleep on it and its not like a brick but is firm, they love it!

Question:	My 90-pound dog suffers from arthritis and wants to buy a bed that will help him, Will this memory foam dog bed be too hard
Answer:	For those of you who've found a "moldy" smell on the inner lining, I have a suggestion. Take a mixture of 1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water and dip a soft cloth in it, wring out excess and wipe down the outer cover completely. Or you can put this into a spray bottle and spray directly onto the surface and then wipe down. This should take away the "moldy" smell (white vinegar is very effective at killing mold and mildew and is absolutely non-toxic). The vinegar smell will fade as it dries. If the cover still smells, then really check the velcro area as there is more surface area here where moisture could have collected. Or, you could just remove the entire waterproof cover and immerse in a larger quantity of this mixture, making sure that the velcro edges are well saturated. You shouldn't need to soak for more than 10 minutes but you can without worry of damaging the cover. Then rinse in plain water (or not) and allow to air dry until completely dry (perhaps over the back of a patio chair so that air can get inside). Once dry, insert the foam insert and replace the cover. I recommend washing the cover and adding some vinegar to the rinse cycle to ensure that there is no mold/mildew on it before replacing. Use about 1 cup for your regular load in the washing machine (permanent press or gentle cycle) for the mold/mildew issue as a stronger concentration will ensure that the mold/mildew spores are killed off. I wash my covers regularly and always add vinegar to the rinse cycle - about a 1/2 cup. The vinegar removes odors and any detergent residue and naturally softens the fabric. Try it for your regular laundry and skip the chemical-laden softeners - they wear out and fade your clothes! Hope this helps!

Answer:	For what it's worth, I found that the Molly Mutt Dog Bed Duvet Cover in Medium/Large size fits the 36"W x 28"L x 4"H Go Pet Club Bed almost perfectly. It's harder to get on and off, since the zipper is only on one end instead of all down the sides, but it's a decent substitute. Search "B00Z0A28X2" to find it. Their Huge size measures like it would fit the 44"W x 32"L x 4"H Go Pet Club bed, too.

Question:	Can I buy a replacement cover for the large bed
Answer:	Yes, you can buy a replacement cover for the large bed. It's just a little hard to find. The replacement covers are on the same page as the beds. They are the three right hand boxes at the bottom. To add to the confusion, they're referred to as "sheets". Contact Barkbox's excellent customer service if you need help. I just received two fleece covers which are made just like the original covers. They fit well, but are not yet dog-tested. I've had good luck with the original covers with the exception of the waterproof backing breaking down after 10 months because my young English Setter is a nester. I wash the covers in cool water and always dry them outside or on a drying rack.
Question:	How waterproof is the cover
Answer:	Not waterproof at all!!! Dog went pee on it and it went through the cover all the way into the foam. Unfortunately you can't take off the white cover over the foam. So even after washing the cover, the pee smell stayed in the foam and reeked our home. Had to throw away. Biggest waste of money and lie.

Answer:	No. This memory foam dog bed gets a little hard at first in the winter but not when it warms up. I bought an X-large for my 100-pound dog, who also has arthritis and a weak spine. The old bed was too small and hard for him and used to watch him roll around on it at night. After purchasing this bed, he sleeps well every day. I highly recommend this large dog bed.
Question:	Would an 80lb dog touch the floor while laying on it
Answer:	Yes, The foam is real memory foam in sheet form. The beds are made with two layers, a sheet memory foam layer with a sheet foam base layer! my older dogs love them. One dog has a bad hip and now sleeps better. I would highly recommend these beds - and they are easy to wash.
Question:	Is there a waterproof liner that's sold separately to go between the bed cover and internal foam? I have the 46"x28" bed
Answer:	This is an awesome bed! I bought it to replace a bed that had gone flat, After receiving the package, I followed the instructions to open the bag and place it in a warm place to unfold the sponge and slowly rebound ，it indeed is 3 INCHES thick which I was very satisfied with, I bought the L which is perfect for my 60lb bulldog, the size is correct，it is large enough for the bulldog to stretch out. It is highly recommended to buy a thick bed for big dogs.
Question:	Is this durable? Has anyone had any issues with chewing or washing
Answer:	Yes! The covers are indeed washable, there is a zipper to remove the foam. I highly recommend using a laundry bag for the washing machine and then hanging to air-dry. The inside foam NOT washable, you do not put your own memory foam mattress in the washer, it can damage the material.

Question:	Does the medium size fit well into a 30in crate
Answer:	I have a Rottweiler, I ordered her a large (46x28 inch) and it is perfect for her. About 2 feet wide and over 3 feet long, I would suggest the same size for a golden retriever.
Question:	Is there a replacement cover available? After several washings the outer cover is starting to shred
Answer:	I have two 65 lb dogs and they do not touch the floor. It is easily plumped back up when you fluff it. It's pretty full inside so I don't see any reason why your dog would touch the floor. But if you are concerned about a heavy dog, the only other option I see for you is a solid bed. Nothing with shredded material. What I have done in the past is buy a baby crib mattress They work very well, they're waterproof also. I bought a sheet and put it on them and had dog beds for a very long time.
Question:	Do you have a replaceable cover i can buy for the waterproof memory foam pet bed cover

Question:	Is it possible to buy extra covers
Answer:	I've had this bed since 2017 and came back to find the washing instructions. I have a great pyrenees who plays with both of his 2 beds, I have only mended each bed once and that's because he drags them out all over the house so they are being bitten and chewed on. They are extremely durable.
