My whole house is "Google Proof" from my livingroom lights to my Patio lights, even my garge.... I also have 2 oscillating fans one is your basic switch on/off the other is the "cyclone" style remote control. The basic fan will work with a smart switch but the one with the remote control will not.....yes it seems I got off track to your question but trying to show you a comparison of how the "digital" fan won't work but the manual one does, heating pads are digital.... hope this helps

Answer:	It is meant to be used where you dont have electricity. Together it would be too hot and possibly start a fire. It is heated by body heat.

Answer:	I can only guess that because of the arthritis, maybe the cat can’t get comfortable and needs to keep changing position? Or maybe the mat makes him/her too warm all over and doesn’t just warm the areas affected by the arthritis. It’s hard to say. The cat I bought the mat for sadly passed away about a month ago. The three other “feral” cats we’re caring for were using the mat for a few weeks, but then moved to the regular pet bed covered with blankets I have for them in the same cat “fort”. Plenty of body heat with three of them, and the mat should help reflect back that body heat, but there’s just no accounting for our kitties’ behavior sometimes.
Question:	do you think this would keep an outside kitty warm in a cat shelter in winter? Snow, rainy weather
Answer:	Yes, that is what I used it for! However, it works best in an insulated homemade shelter, either a plastic bin that has been insulated or if you use a styrofoam cooler, and line either with straw. I used this pad as additional warmth for the extreme cold winter we had. Both cats in two of my shelters survived well with this added way to keep warm. It's a good quality self-heating pad and it is washable. I would certainly recommend buying it. There are how-to videos on YouTube on how to make your own outdoor cat shelters. Good luck!

Answer:	This blue timer has two outlets, the one on the bottom is on all the time, and the on on top is regulated by the timer. To set your timer, first you have set the timer to the current time by aligning the white arrow on the face of timer to the correct hours. Then pull up all the black tab around the circular timer, and this put the timer in the off position. Now let's say you want the timer to go on from 7AM to 6PM, then you just push down all the black tab between 7AM and 6PM, and your timer will go on during these hours, and turn off automatically during the hours of black tab in UP position. Just play around and you should be able to figure it out pretty easy.

Answer:	No it does not have build in surge protection.

Answer:	I believe it would. I have mine plugged into a grounded six plug adapter. This way it gives me the extra plugs that I need. This timer is easy to use and does the job. I would not buy it again however, due to it being noisy. A smaller conventional timer from the hardware store will do the same thing. Hope this helps. PS-If you have a lot of plugs, I would look into a grounded six prong plug in outlet expansion-they are handy.

Question:	What makes this item different than the heat that seems to radiate back from any blanket a warm body lays on? Does it radiate it more
Answer:	No, not really. It's barely noticeable. All 3 of my dogs and my 1 cat use them. I have 3! The crinkling noise it makes is very subtle and it's only if you scrunch it with your hands. Mine don't make noise when the pets get on them. They love them!

Answer:	Just received our 26" Snuggery orthopedic foam (sherpa and suede blue) dog bed today. The tube for the hood is removed through the opening on the bottom lower left of the hood where the tube ends and where there is a velcro flap. Open the flap, slide the tube out by feeding it down to the left from its channel sewn in the front edge of the hood. It goes back in through that same velcro covered port. Much easier than the hidden slit for the tube in our two Cozy Caves when we remove the tubes to wash the covers that we unzip from the cushion in side the base.
