Answer:

My puppy just tore the mat apart and the foam bits and the gel were everywhere. I freaked out because the term "non-toxic" wasn't enough for me. I called the poison hotline (ASPCA) and they reassured me that because of my dogs size and the ingredients (home grown USA), that at the very most, he might experience some loose stool or vomiting. Not saying that if your dog ingest this you should not contact your vet, but I thought I would write this answer to ease someone else going through the same process. FYI-the post mentioning the mat being toxic was made a couple years ago, so I'm not sure if they changed the ingredients-but for reference I purchased mine summer of 2016

Answer:	I have been buying these since 2014 with no issues. I buy a new one every year because my dogs use them so much they end up a little beat up. I still have all the old ones I bought and just spread them out all over during the summer. During cold season I fold it up and throw it in my garage. I don’t even put it in a box. I think when I pull them back out and they are a little stiff but eventually soften back up. I highly recommend this brand of pad. After in write this I’m actually buying another because now my cat wants one lol. My dogs are both laying on one as I write this. I love this product.

Answer:	I think it could be used outside, especially in a shelter of some kind. I think it would work best if kept out of the sun. I have heard that people's cats like this mat.

Please don’t put your dog in a kennel on a flight, unless you are planning to take kin in the air conditioned/ heated pressurized passenger cabin.The cargo hold is so cold and noisy at altitude and so noisy.Not to mention the noxious fumes leaking in. Airplanes are a fast way of travel but can be deadly for animals. Unless you’re going to be with the dog in the baggage compartment, pay a bit more and get it a seat by you.

Answer:	The large is about 36 inches by 20 inches, which fit my long, 65-pound dog perfectly, since to be cool, the important thing is to get the body on the mat, not the head or tail. When she lies on her side, her legs also hang part way off the mat, but this too is fine. Get a size large enough so that your dog's torso will fit on the mat. She still loves this, and it still loves how cool it is, even though the weather is getting cooler.

Answer:	There is a gel inside that somehow stays cool. I put it in the car when we take our golden with us it helps him stay cooler then he would be without it. He sleeps on it all the time. He use to go in our bathroom to lay on the cool tile floor at night but now he sleeps next to the bed. My dog is 15yrs old and he has a hard time in the heat and this has helped him a lot.

Answer:	I have been buying these since 2014 with no issues. I buy a new one every year because my dogs use them so much they end up a little beat up. I still have all the old ones I bought and just spread them out all over during the summer. During cold season I fold it up and throw it in my garage. I don’t even put it in a box. I think when I pull them back out and they are a little stiff but eventually soften back up. I highly recommend this brand of pad. Answer:	I have not washed it, only vacuumed it. The description on Amazon says “ Easy to clean-The dog/cat mat is machine washable, easier to keep it in clean and comfortable conditions.”. I would think it is best to air dry.

Answer:	Outside, in the shade is the best place for this item. I own 3 if them and I try to manage them wherever my spoiled dog chooses to lie down, I keep it out of the sunlight until he needs it, then lay it atop his hammock or his yard pad.

Answer:	So, I called Coleman because mine sprung a leak within 24 hours and I was very concerned my pets got into it. Though everyone is currently acting fine.. so Coleman was not sure. That question is listed on their computer and had no answer, which seemed to baffle the guy I spoke to. He told me the Coleman pet line was purchased (or is maybe made by?) a company out of NY called Unique Petz. He gave me their number with a extension to someone (Don't recall his name). I just called and briefly spoke to him. He told me the gel is non-toxic and that I should return the product to the store. He again said it was non toxic and tested.
