Answer:	I have two of these beds for my past lab and current lab in the 52" size. The second one I purchased I tried to go smaller with the 40" and had to send it back because it's significantly smaller than the 52". Go with the 52".

Answer:	I hope you were not satisfied with the answer "made in USA". Yes it was CONSTRUCTED in the USA but where did those imported products that were used in the construction made? Maybe China? I did not see a response from the manufacturer in answer to this question. I understood the way it was phrased "Made in the USA with imported materials" to mean that the manufacturer did not want to specifically name the places the materials it is made with to be revealed. Clever play on words but read between the lines!

Answer:	The padding on the bottom is fairly thick. My Shiba has had her bed for a year and it is still soft and comfortable for her.

Answer:	I checked to see if I could cut bread with my left hand and to me it seems that it would be fine. The handle is not geared to be right or left handed. it It is comfortable in either right or left hand but do remember I am right handed.My suggestion is to remember that this knife is quite long and very sharp. I have used it only on crusty artisan breads where the crust is quite hard and it works amazingly well on breads that are not just crusty but on uneven loafs that might be a lot wider in the middle hence the length of the knife. Another suggestion use a sturdy cutting board. This knife is a beast lol
