These feathers are our 2 year old cat's favorite toy in the evening. We can watch TV while swinging the feathers around on the pole. Cat loves jumping, pouncing, stalking the feathers. He needs to "catch" the feathers every once in awhile to keep him motivated, so we go through a feather set about every 3 to 4 weeks. Something about this particular feather combination makes the feathers twirl as they move thru out the air, making the twirling more attractive to our cat. My son's 2 older more sedentary cats also love playing with their feathers. Our cat has never been outside to experience real birds, but this seems instinctive.

Our kitten played with one of his to the point where he removed the little paw bit, and eventually tore it up entirely... just yarn (and to be clear, this was not a quick process -- he LOVES them and plays with them all the time. ) I highly recommend these toys
