Question:	How can this work for a capsule/pill unless a cat is one that wolves down their food? Wouldn't they just eat around it
Answer:	Just tried this. My cat needs 2ML twice a day. These pill pockets can hold less that 1/4 ML. It would take 10 pill pockets to meet her daily dosage. Even then, the liquid doesn't permeate into the pocket so when you squeeze it together some medicine comes out which ruins the disguise. Maybe if they just need a very small does of liquid.

Answer:	Cats are not known to thoroughly chew a food before swallowing. They may chew once or twice and then swallow. If the pill is properly placed in the pocket it should allow for the anticipated chewing that your cat would do and still be able to cover the pill. PILL POCKETS are also known for their strong enticing smell and taste which also helps to mask the pill.

Answer:	If kitty picks it up in their mouth and drops it without eating, it tends to get really wet and sticky.. And my cat won’t touch it once it’s sticky, so I will tear the pill pocket away from the pill and wrap in a new piece and try again in a little bit. If the pill pocket sits out for a length of time it will start to dry up and harden a bit. My cat prefers them “fresh” and soft out of the package. I do not think the taste of the pill will come through the pill pocket though, if your cat ignores it for awhile. It’s helpful to use as little as the pill pocket as possible, the smaller you are able to get the wrapped pill, the easier it is for kitty to gobble it down rather than bite it which will normally make them spit it out. I use about 1/3 of a pocket on each pill I give my cat. It’s easy to tear and very malleable.

My cat takes a quarter of a methimazole for his hyperthyroidism. A VERY tiny little pill piece. Sometimes I put the pill piece in the pocket, mush it up and roll it into a ball- he eats the whole thing & the pill NEVER falls out. Sometimes I just pinch off a little of the pocket so there's less material. The pockets are like flavored play-doh. Our cat loves both the salmon and the chicken flavor. Do try them!
