Question:	Has anyone tried using this with pine/cedar/walnut pellets? The pellets would need to stay in the top pan and the sawdust fall through
Answer:	The holes are too big to use pellet litter. The pellets fall through. You need the holes to be smaller so that the "sawdust" (pellets broken down from pee) falls through the holes to be dumped out, so you can save the whole pellets and put them back in the litter pan to be used.
Question:	Can this be used with non-clumping pine litter
Answer:	Yes, it can. I prefer it to the litter box meant for feline pine litter. You use this one differently, however. The litter is used in a solid bottom pan. I scoop the poop regularly and shake the pan to make the saw dust go to the bottom of that pan. After about a week, I empty the litter into the shifting pan and shakes the sawdust through to into the second pan. Toss out the saw dust and pour the remaining pine litter back into the original pan. It is fast and easy. The pans are easy to wipe clean.
Question:	How much litter do you add? How do I get the sifter back under the litter after emptying it
Answer:	Usually 3-4 inches of litter will suffice. Step 1.Lift the sifting tray and shake from side to side. clean litter will fall through sifting tray into bottom pan. Step 2.Clumped litter will remain on top of sifting tray. Discard clumps in a trash receptacle and then clean the tray. Step 3. Reassemble litter pan using empty bottom pan. Step 4. Pour sifted litter from original pan onto sifting tray. Add more clean litter if needed. Clean original pan and place under assembled litter pan for storage.
Question:	Anyone find a hood or method for keeping the cats from kicking litter out? I love the sifting but now I have to deal with litter outside the box
Answer:	I upcycle those wonderful Amazon boxes. Since my cats love those boxes anyway, I set one on it's side and slide the litter box into the open box. That way, I have sides and a top and the litter stays in the box. It also keeps mine from scratching walls near their litter box - mine love scratching cardboard. When I empty the litter box, I pour the spilled litter back into the clean box. By the way, the Amazon boxes are sturdy enough to spray paint if you need to color coordinate. The best thing is that if they destroy the covering box, I know I will have another Amazon delivery coming!

Answer:	I have owned this litter box for over 6 months and I have NEVER used bag liners. Personally, i think bag liners just get scratched up and do more harm than good. So yes, you can. However, the purpose of bag liners is to keep the litter sanitary and clean - I would definitely be sure to clean the litter often so feces don't stick to the bottom or anything like that. - Heather

Answer:	At first I tried to fold the plastic liner over the edge of the lower half. It would not fit. I tried just bringing the bag up to the edge. I secured it with a few small pieces of tape. When the dome is placed on top it traps the edge of the bag holding it in place. I just need to learn where to purchase more bags. Will start at the website. Good luck!

Answer:	We have chihuahuas (5, 6 and 9 lbs). The oldest 9 lb doesn't even try to go in but the other two can zip in and out of there as if it was made for them. They don't move the lid or anything; they are smaller then the cat. But they will try to drag kitty litter and then some out of it frequently. No problems for me though as they do the same and worse with litter boxes uncovered or with a normal box cover.

Answer:	i had the same issue with an older cat. would poop in the box but pee on my carpet. i put pee pee pads everywhere and she would not use them. i was shampooing carpet 3 times a day to catch it while it was still wet. Finally I gave it to the Lord because I didnt want to get rid of her. so i put pee pee pad by the bathroom again and she started using them from then on. God is good. I lost her 2 yrs later to old age, she was 20 and her sister passed just 16 hrs earlier. Good luck!

Answer:	First off, NO!!! u do not have to use a liner, I just wash mine once ever 6-8 weeks. The whole top(the lighter grey erea) comes off, however it has a lock on eachside so that u just cant accidentally lift it off when u don't want it to. It is a very simple lock, one on each side, u put the top on and then slide the lock on both sides to the back of the litter box. On the top of the litter box u can see the darker grey, it also lifts up by itself along with the see-thru flip flop style of door for your Cat. I personally never use it but it is a nice option to have if u dont want to take the top off every time u scoop out there daily bathroom leavings. Either way this is hands down the best LitterBox I have ever used, my 2 cats love it, also one of my cats is a huge cat weighing in at 18 pounds, he is not fat just a big cat, and he can easily get in and out thanx to the design and the oversized door. Both my cat can get in and out and they love it. I cannot reccomend this box high enough and don't be nervous buying it online, I found it in a store and at the store it was more expensize even with the shipping included so buy it here on AMAZON and dont give it a second thought u will be very very SATISFIED! Answer:	Yes, of course it smells bad inside. But the fumes are not exactly trapped. There is some air exchange, but they are contained far better than an open litter box.

Answer:	My favorite feature of this great litter box is the door. It is thick and long enough to hold odors in AND the door opens up and lies straight back onto the top of the box for easy cleaning without removing the lid. I LOVE this feature and the door itself. It is quality and my cats had no problem adjusting to it from those sleazy vinyl doors found on other brands.

Question:	Can these crystals cause scoopable litter to stop clumping
Answer:	Most can scrape the bottom without issue but I wouldn't call this stick proof. If your cat likes to pee at the bottom, you would probably be better off with a different litter like Worlds Best Cat Litter. Something that is not clay based will be less sticky.
Question:	is this product safe for 4-5 week old kittens using the litter box
Answer:	This one picks up both large and small clumps. There are still always a few pieces small enough that they fall through, but this scoop picks up more and smaller clumps than any other I've tried.
Question:	Are the crystals the same size as the litter? Does it fall through the scoop to last
Answer:	Well, Yes and No. The metal goes "into" the handle but it's just a 2" x 1/2" stub that is pressure fitted into what is essentially a hollow plastic handle. You asked, "all the way" which implies all the way through the handle. So, no. This is basically a plastic handle and a bit of metal is wedged into it. The plastic is very hard and stiff, but still plastic. My guess is that it might fatigue and crack over time. See my review and photos.

Answer:	OMG NO!! The temperature to kill the bacteria living in feces/poop has to be BOILING literally - 212 degrees (or higher depending on your geographic altitude) Fahrenheit - and some of the bacteria you have to boil 20 minutes before they die. There is no water heater or dishwasher that works at that temp. Just don't do it!
