Answer:	Any large cat liner can be used. However, I have found if you use good clumping litter, you really do not need a liner and if you have a cat with claws they will just tear them up anyways.

Answer:	I have found that the "crackling noises" have something to do with left over water that has remained in the "pipeline" of the coffee pot. When the warmer is on, the entire unit remains hot. If even just a little water moves or trickles down through the pipe over the basket of coffee grounds, it seems to crackle. I have not found that it crackles for four hours, but I have often heard exactly what you're describing. I don't think it has to do with any faulty part of the machine itself.

Answer:	Just make your coffee and while it is brewing, just pull out the coffee pot and pour your coffee. The coffee will still brew, but will stop dripping. You can't leave the carafe out too long. But you have plenty of time to pour a cup or two.

Answer:	You can't alter the 4 hour warming cycle manually unless you actually turn off the brewer. You don't have a choice of warming cycles with this brewer.

Question:	I have back issues, is this litter box heavy to lift
Answer:	Not moreso than most others . The lid does not add much weight. If you reach a point of needing to dump the entire box of litter (which I recommend periodically) it will be heavy because of the litter, unless you scoop it out. But, there are lightweight cat litter brands, if that helps. The box is not heavy to roll back and forth, but of course, you have to bend or kneel down, and that might be more difficult with some back problems.
Question:	When changing the litter out from used litter to new what do you do? How often? Do you spray container out with hose? Suggestions
Answer:	The litter changes itself because a certain amount of loose litter is sacrificed along with the clumped waste. Thus you needn't do anything. It is quite difficult to clean out any clumping litter with a hose, for the bentonite clay is quite water resistant. You have to sort of scrape it off. Thus we roll the boxes over every day and don't concern ourselves with more--the cats don't mind and we detect no odor.
Question:	Has anybody ever used this with natural clumping litter, particularly World's Best
Answer:	I use it with World’s Best in the red bag and it works well. I just bang the bottom when it’s upside down to knock off anything that’s sticking. I also flush it and that’s fine too, although I end up cleaning the toilet more often.

Answer:	The opening straight on 3 sides and is curved on the inmost edge with a curved lip... it's 10" wide and the arc goes from about 6 1/2" on each side to 8 3/4" at the widest center point... and even a tiny kitten can get in and out easily...

Answer:	The lid to this box has holes in it so that the litter can fall back through into the box. The lid is also hinged and there is a small hook that you could hang a litter scoop on. The size of the boxes are the same, fitting into a 20x15x15 for shipping, varying slightly smaller for the box. The clevercat box lid has a 9" diameter opening. The lid on the Petmate is slightly smaller and not a diameter but more of a half oval.
Question:	How tall is the box? Do the cat's heads stick out while using it or does it go above their heads? I am having trouble visualizing the box in use
Answer:	It's about the size of a typical Rubbermaid tub (15 inches high or so?). It is under a countertop in our bathroom. The cat that uses it is about 9 months old (8-9 lbs) and the hops in, pokes her head out the top and is fine. She had a front entry before this and had no adjustments to using it. Answer:	My 3 cats, 20, 18, 16 pounds do just fine. lid holds. They get in and turn around. They all do their business standing, which is why I chose this style, and never been happier. They also LOVE to dig at the litter . So much cleaner.

Answer:	We have the filtered lid and one of our cats got her paw majorly stuck in the bigger hole and then fell in—I’ve never heard a cat screech so loudly in my life. We used heavy duty packing tape to cover the big holes and no problems. I’d say go with the grooved lid because I just think about that happening when we weren’t home...

Question:	The poop tray seems small. Do you have to scoop out the poop before the litter is ready to be changed
Answer:	I never have but that might be a good thing to do my cat box needs to be changed every 100 uses where because she is only 1 cat she is supposed to last 2 months but for her it just doesn’t. I am not willing to scoop it out, to make the litter last longer. I try to save up with on the litter so I have a good supply. I t is easier with the tray and cheaper.

Answer:	I have a friend who uses 1 box for 2 cats. So you may want to consider 2 boxes or clean the capture tray often with 1 box. If you have the option, you could try 1 box to test it out and buy a second if 1 is not sufficient.

Answer:	It is very similar to the forever tray. I have both and am happy with both designs.
Question:	The waste receptable on the reusable tray looks smaller than the disposable tray. Does this require more frequent cleaning
Answer:	Yes. Not only is the waste receptacle smaller, but it also doesn't seal the way the disposable tray does. So it smells as it fills up with waste and requires regular scooping. Also, I'm noticing that the plastic tray has urine stains on it and I can't get the scent out. The disposable tray is *FAR* superior, but it's also far more expensive. It's not a perfect system.

Answer:	The top perch is 22"x11", lower perch is 22"x11" and the box is 15"x15"x15". This cat tree is the best I've ever seen and very affordable. Very well made, sturdy and the perches are covered with these amazing memory foam pads. I wash them in a lingerie bag on a gentle cycle and they come out looking like new. It had a very modern look to it - not a giant ugly carpet covered monster. Highly recommend by both me and my cat!

Answer:	We have one 3 y.o. male cat. In addition to the crystals, I typically add some arm and hammer cat deodorizer both when putting in a fresh tray and again every 10 days or so to help with liquid absorption. This is usually sufficient to get 28-30 days out of the litter without worrying about a strong persistent urine smell.

Answer:	My only suggestion is this: try using 1/2 CRYSTALS & 1/2 of your regular kitty litter that you were using. I did this for my 3 cats and they all took to it fine. After a couple of weeks, I was able to stop using the old litter & now I only use the Crystals which last so much longer. Good luck, because it is a wonderful litter box!

Answer:	The litter robot is, bar none, the best automated litter system out there (and has been for many years). The only downsides of the litter robot are the size (it’s so, so big on the outside for being not that big on the inside, and won’t even fit in a smaller bathroom. The other downside is the cost, but I’ll be honest and say that it’s worth every penny in the long run. If you have the space, and you can afford it, get the litter robot and don’t look back. Fwiw, we have 7 cats at the house right now (2 of ours, 4 foster kittens who are nearly full grown due to Covid shelter closures, and a cat we rescued who is going to his new home next week), and a single litter robot is EASILY handling 7 cats worth of waste. We just change the little plastic bag in the bottom drawer every other night instead of once a week. It’s amazing, there’s zero smell, it works for years without issue (this is our second. Our first lasted 6 years for 4 cats).

Answer:	There are only 3 differences, and for the record, I bought the Original and I love it and it does fine for what I need. So here are the differences:1) Ultra has a Privacy Hood. I don't need that. My cat has no shame. She can go out in the open. If your cat is used to having a little more privacy, maybe you should get the Ultra. But if not, it's not worth the price increase (although it looks like, right now on Amazon, the Ultra is actually $4 cheaper, so...).2) The Ultra has an Adjustable Rake Delay. Now, I can see how this might be an attractive feature. The Original has a preset delay, and I'm guessing it's about 20 minutes (the max setting on Ultra). That can be kind of gross because I don't know why the waste would need to sit that long before being scooped. So with the Ultra you can shorten that time to 5 or 10 minutes if you prefer.The thing about the rake delay is that on the Original (and probably Ultra too) there's a button so you can manually control the raking. This means that if I'm home and my cat makes it stinky, I can walk over to the machine, push the button, and the rake will scoop because I told it to. When I'm not home, the smell obviously doesn't bother me. So this is like a luxury feature if you don't want to go push that button every once in a while. But for my needs, the Original is just fine. 20 minutes is fine. If she only urinates, then I don't need it to scoop right away, and if I'm around when she makes a poo, I can just go over and push a button. If you don't want the waste ever sitting in the tray for 20 full minutes, then get the Ultra and you can program it to scoop at 5 or 10.3) The Ultra has a Health Counter. I have a kitten, and she's fine. I'm not overly worried about her health. But if your cat is older, this is a way for the box to track how often your cat is using the box. I suppose if the box feels your cat is using it too frequently, it might be able to alert you to a health problem so you can take your cat to the vet. But for me, I don't need it.The Health Meter doesn't measure the "life" of the litter. It isn't like "Oh, this litter is getting pretty gross in here you should probably put in a fresh tray." And that, to me, might be more useful. But it's not a huge deal as it's pretty apparent when you need to change trays because the crystals get more white than blue.So like I said, I have the Original and I love it and it's perfect for what I need out of an automatic litter box. However, if you have an older cat, a more sensitive nose combined with limited mobility, or your cat is used to privacy, the Ultra is the one for you.With all that info, again, I notice that the "luxury" version is currently cheaper on Amazon. If it had been that way when I bought mine, I might've bought the Ultra just to get the extra features and save 4 bucks.Hope that helps.

Answer:	Hello, The telescoping litter scoop with long adjustable handle - 17" to 23", The aluminum scooper is 17 inches when it is not stretched, If you are tall, you need a longer litter box scooper, You can stretch the handle to 23" ( Loosen the handle to the left, then pull the handle and rotate it to the right to tighten). This means less bending and less back strain when you scoop away cat or kitty litter from the cat liiter box.

Answer:	Yes, it’s very sturdy. I believe you would need the longer length for the beach so you wouldn’t have to do the “Sanibel Stoop.” It’s also adjustable in length.

Answer:	The stainless steel one does stay extended. Pricey, but well worth it. I like mine so well that I bought an extra one. I have bought many plastic and steel ones, but this one is far the best one so far. On your other one, if it just doesn't stay extended, use the 'ol stand by and drop super glue where the extenstion meets. Do a double dose to make sure.
