Question:	What's the difference between ultra and regular
Answer:	Ultra has the lid which is why it is $169.00 without the lid it is $139.00. The base of the litter box at a step counter (how many uses) and timer intervals of 5/10/15. The 2nd generation appears to have a small front lip which my cats tender to pee towards the front so with shorter front step the pee gets on the cardboard replacements. I have both ultra and 2nd generation- with two cats I prefer the ultra. In my opinion it is made better. The 2nd generation doesn’t have the timer intervals and the front step is cheaply made.
Question:	How do you know it's time to change the tray? We have a kitten, so will it go longer at first
Answer:	I change the litter (we use the Forever Litter Tray) after about 24 uses - that's about 4-5 days in our house with 2 cats. Our cats must pee in larger amounts, because at 24 uses, I start to notice a smell from the box and the litter looks saturated. I see other owners that get 50-100 uses before they change out the litter. For a kitten, they would pee in smaller amounts, so it should last quite a bit longer.

Answer:	I got the pet safe scoop free ultra about 6 months ago and just love it. I have 3 cats that are inside/outside and have to change it every couple months. I got the plastic litter tray that was an extra $50. I've since found crystal kitty litter at Walmart for 1/2 the price of pet safe, but haven't tried it, just saw it over the weekend.

Answer:	Not that it comes with. What I do is get a garbage bag to slip the tray into. The lid covers it well enough however I am germ-a-phob and use a bag for extra coverage.

Question:	I have back issues, is this litter box heavy to lift
Answer:	Not moreso than most others . The lid does not add much weight. If you reach a point of needing to dump the entire box of litter (which I recommend periodically) it will be heavy because of the litter, unless you scoop it out. But, there are lightweight cat litter brands, if that helps. The box is not heavy to roll back and forth, but of course, you have to bend or kneel down, and that might be more difficult with some back problems.
Question:	When changing the litter out from used litter to new what do you do? How often? Do you spray container out with hose? Suggestions
Answer:	The litter changes itself because a certain amount of loose litter is sacrificed along with the clumped waste. Thus you needn't do anything. It is quite difficult to clean out any clumping litter with a hose, for the bentonite clay is quite water resistant. You have to sort of scrape it off. Thus we roll the boxes over every day and don't concern ourselves with more--the cats don't mind and we detect no odor.
Question:	Has anybody ever used this with natural clumping litter, particularly World's Best
Answer:	I use it with World’s Best in the red bag and it works well. I just bang the bottom when it’s upside down to knock off anything that’s sticking. I also flush it and that’s fine too, although I end up cleaning the toilet more often.

Question:	How does the diameter of the bowl compare to the older version
Answer:	Thank you for such a great question! The diameter of both versions is about the same, around 19”, but we have re-positioned the conveyor and made some plastic pieces in the bowl smaller, giving your cat about 20% more usable space in the litter bowl. The bowl is also deeper with a higher litter guard, ensuring that litter stays in the actual bowl.
Question:	I had the previous model of this litter box. I loved how it worked, but the motor burned out twice in a year. How long is the warranty for this model
Answer:	The first year, the motor broke three times. They sent me new litter boxes each time. The third time, the guy sent me the new model with a motor that can be removed. That litter box lasted quite a while. It just broke again (probably my fault for letting the box get so full), and they are sending me a new motor. It's way past the warranty date on the original box that I received. So, although the motors do break somewhat frequently, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this box. The new model has a good motor, and when they break, the company replaces it. I have no worries about durability when their customer service is second to none.

Answer:	The AC adapter that comes with it is a normal wall plug in with a110vac US plug. It steps it down to 12VDC. I imagine it would be easy to adapt if your country uses 220v.

Answer:	I have used a litter maid as long as its been on the market and I have never used or seen litter maid litter. I use tidy cat clumping litter. In fact I have started using the feather lite tidy cat litter and that works well too.

Answer:	Manufacturers response is bogus. I have 3.1 and 3.2. 3.1 is about six months old and I have had almost no problems with it. 3.2 is total garbage. Never cleaned well. Always looks dirty. The comb set up makes it so it doesn't rake well. It jammed every day until it died last week. It is 3 months old. Do not waste your money on 3.2! (And the blue color shows all the cat litter dust so that was just stupid design).

Answer:	FYI, clumping litter is NOT required. I use this with great success using crystal litter - I find it even better as I don't need to concern my self with capturing clumps, only solid waste. I've had no problem with the crystals working correctly (they fit through the screen just fine) and I have no deodorizing issues either.

Answer:	I dont have this one, but I several of this KIND and arm & hammer SLIDE works the best!!! Others seem to let the urine soaked litter stick to the bottom!!!

Answer:	It really works great. Slowly roll it completely over and then pound it a bit to shake off anything that is sticking to the bottom or side. Then roll it slowly back, and remover the drawer and carefully dump its contents back into the box. One more slow 45 degree roll and remove the drawer and discard, Then roll it a bit back in the other direction so as to even the litter. This way you use a minimal amount of the clumping litter; I was disposing of way too much at first.
Question:	Will a big cat be able to use this product? My cat is tall and weighs about 18lbs

Question:	how long are the water and sewer lines
Answer:	The drain line is 10 feet. I would not recommend extending it since this will increase back pressure and reduce draining efficiency. We drain one to a toilet (with the included attachment), one into a washer drain almost 4 feet high and one into a tee under the laundry room sink like the ones used for a dishwasher drain. The water line is 8 feet and can be extended using a washing machine supply line and a double ended male hose fitting available at a hardware or building supply. The electric cord is 6 feet. If you need to extend this get a 12 ga or 14 ga heavy duty extension cord no longer than needed to reach the outlet. Light weight cables will overheat when the CatGenie is pulling almost 10 amps when drying the litter.

Answer:	Yes, a big 3x2 matt..I got mine on amazon. Put in HONEYCOMB MAT....THERE ARE LITTLE HOLES IN IT THAT THE LITTER FALLS THRU AND THERE IS A 2ND ATTACHED MAT ON THE BOTTOM THAT YOU CAN OPEN AND EMPTY....I REMEMBER BEING NUTS WITH LItheRange everywhere!
Question:	Exactly how does it hook up to the toilet? I cannot picture it. Do the instructions come with diagrams
Answer:	Diagram does come with instructions. Imagine a pipe coming from the system and hung over your toilet bowl. That's all it is. The matter is ground up, think of a blender, then sent through the pipe. It ends up in the toilet bowl along with the waste water. Some toilets will automatically flush when the water level increases, others will not. If your toilet doesn't flush at the increase of water then you'll manually flush the matter down. I have mine hooked up to my washing machine waste water spot. It gets flushed into the same place the waste water from the washer goes.
