Just use a wet rag and spot clean it, but mine has never gotten dirty at all and my two use it daily. They love the sound of it and all the openings that they can go through. And my cats are big and nine months old.

Answer:	It's also heavy enough full of water that a cat such as that one won't be able to move it. It also comes with a small pad as pictured that has very good friction. I have a cat that's either a Savannah or from a Lynx line. I think I've seen it called a Desert Lynx. Either way, he's large, strong, very curious, and obsessed at time with moving the water fountain whether playing or ticked he isn't getting more food. I've had not problems with this fountain and doing that. Also, it's tall enough that he drinks from it comfortably. He's a tall cat and like the even tall fountain on my other one so I'm glad this worked out.

Question:	Do you have to disassemble this to refill it or do you pour water into the top and it drains into the reservoir
Answer:	I tend to add water at the top as my dog drinks out of it also and depletes the water supply. However I do take it apart and clean it every week which is very easy and then I fill it up at that time. It only takes a few minutes to take it apart , clean it, fill it and put it back together. Really easy. I'm 77 so if this old lady can do it, you can too.

INSTRUCTIONS:

• Add soil contents to planter
• Add enough warm (not hot) water to fully moisten the soil (about 5 or 6 ounces)
• After water absorbs, stir soil and allow to sit for about 10 minutes
• Fluff soil and remove about 2-3 tbsp soil and set aside
• Sprinkle seeds evenly over soil
• Cover seeds with 1/8” soil and gently press soil over seeds

NOTE: For faster results cover planter loosely with plastic wrap just until first sprouts appear (no longer than 1 -2 days)

• Place planter in a warm, semi dark area (just away from direct light, not in complete darkness as it may cause mold)
• After sprouts appear or no more than two days, remove plastic wrap and move to a sunny location
• Keep soil moist until grass reaches 3” Check moisture daily. Once established: do not over water. Feed to your pet once grass reaches 4-5"

GROWING TIPS FROM THE CAT LADIES GROWING EXPERT:

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I WATER: Cat grass should be watered sparingly. 2-3 Tbsp when it is almost dry should do it.

HOW DO I GET MY FINICKY CAT TO EAT THIS GRASS: Try placing the planter near their food bowl, or anywhere your cat frequents. If your cat is hesitant to eat from the planter, try to cut some pieces up and put it in with their food, or some cats prefer to eat the bits off of the floor.

HOW DO I AVOID MOLD AND EXTEND THE LIFE OF THE GRASS:

1. DO NOT OVERWATER this allows the soil to maintain its nutrients longer and helps slow the yellowing process.

2. In the summer, place your pet grass in the coolest place in the house you can find
