Answer:	I just wash mine with soap and water. I open them ,dry them with a towel then let them air dry for several hours before putting them away to avoid possible rust. Some would probably say they should be sterilized but I only use mine on my pooch so I haven't been to concerned with that.

Answer:	As a professional pet groomer and shop owner, you shouldn't cut the hair out from the ears. You can purchase a powder that we use to pull the hair from the ears, you pull a few at at time not all at once. If your unable or just rather not do this I would suggest calling your local pet groomer and ask if they would do it for you. It should be a minamal charge I charge $5 - $10 depending on how bad and if they are infected or not. I hope this helps.

Question:	I'm looking for a small blending scissor for muzzle and eye area on maltese .would these work. How long are they
Answer:	In my opinion, not at all. These scissors are big and heavy and the blades do not glide, in fact they kind of stick, not to mention making a significantly audible slicing sound, which, if your Maltese is calm around scissors won't be an issue, but with my traumatized kitty, definitely is. In addition, I found the combs to be a cheap plastic that does not run through the hair smoothly. I guess there are enough people who do like this product, I'm just not one of them. It's probably fine for big, generalized work, but I would not recommend it for delicate, minute work. Just my personal opinion. The company sent me their little trimmer scissors for free, when they found out I was not satisfied. Those are pretty useless too. I think you're better off buying a nice little pair of baby scissors, with rounded tips. I will add that the company reimbursed me immediately for the Scaredy Cut scissors when I told them I was not satisfied. That doesn't change how I feel about the product. I'll probably gift it to someone who can use this type of thing, maybe someone with a medium to big size dog who isn't afraid of having their hair trimmed.Hope that helps!
