Answer:	Joyce, I've never had a problem ordering from Amazon. The expiration date on my current order is Aug 2016. Amazon stands behind their products and would send a replacement overnight if you found the dates were expired. I buy my litter, cat food,etc. from Amazon. So much easier than putting the heavy litter bag in a cart, loading and unloading from the car. They deliver right to the door.

Answer:	How much to feed a cat depends on their age, size, activity level, and whether pregnant or nursing. Wet food is healthier- dry food can cause crystals or urinary bladder stones especially in males. ( I know from experience. My kitty spent 1 week in the hospital and $4000 later- I was told not to feed him any dry food.) The vet also told me to feed my 12 lb. kitty two 3 oz. cans of food a day. This amount can be divided into 4 portions. More than 2 cans, if your cat is not active, will cause weight gain. Cats love this food and they are experts at manipulation and begging! Keep a watch on their weight. If they are gaining- decrease amount. If losing weight- slightly increase amount fed.

Answer:	Hi, not sure about the carbs but it should be low. There are no grains in the formula and what caught my eye was 40% protein and 18% fat. The fats will turn to sugars but doesn't seem to affect my diabetic cat.
Question:	Is it smart to start an old cat on this high a level of protein? My 14 yr old is very heathy but has been eating mainly Purina One for the last 5 yrs
Answer:	I hope you didn't switch your 14 year old cat to this high, high protein diet, without first running lab work through your vet. High protein is GREAT for young cats, but as they age, their kidneys wear out. A very high protein diet for an aging cat can be highly counterintuitive because in some cats, it makes the kidneys work TOO hard. Another issue is that super pure, "health" food cat food is often rejected in taste by elderly cats, and it's very important to maintain caloric intake, especially in aging and overweight cats. In some cats, suddenly not eating enough due to not liking a new diet can cause a nightmare mess with the liver called feline lipidosis (you can google it...). It can also cause gastro-intestinal issues, which is a fancy way of saying she can get big time diarrhea. At 14, if she's thriving and happy, I'd say leave it be. As cats age, it's important to keep food interesting and palatable for them, as they get even pickier. So I would also consider adding wet food - it's a great way to keep them hydrated, among many other benefits. Best of luck - happy/healthy at 14 is thanks to great pet ownership, too! :)
Question:	Is this for diabetic cats
Answer:	Catinfo.org has some good information on feeding diabetic cats. Diabetic cats should eat foods that are less than 10% carbs. That's hard to find. The owner of that site is a vet and recommends not feeding dry at all, but while transitioning she uses Evo which is around 5% carbs. Maybe 9%. I forget now. That said, my diabetic cat was a dry food junkie. He wouldn't eat at one point so I had to find a dry that wouldn't raise his blood sugar. I ended up using Young Again Pet Foods Zero Carb dry food. It's 0.4% carbs. He had no sugar spikes while eating it. He even went into remission (no insulin) while eating. It's expensive and special order but cost pennies next to the cost of insulin.

Answer:	I do not currently have that flavor at home, so I cannot verify for certain. But I do have the Purina Beyond grain free chicken & egg, and do not see iodine listed. There is calcium iodate though, if that's the same thing. I hope that helps!

Answer:	I fed my two kittens kitten food for about four months or so, but they really didn't like it. So I tried them on Beyond Chicken formula, which is what I'd been giving my other two cats, aged seven and five. The kittens loved it. When I looked at the nutritional breakdown it was fine for kittens. I still give them a can of Petguard every evening, but I am very happy with Beyond, and it's much easier because all four cats eat it.

Answer:	Reading the nutrients label would answer your question. In a nutshell, "Indoor" has double the fiber, and therefore lower density, which is why a bag of a given weight is almost twice as large as a bag of the "regular" product. You will also find that the cat's stool is larger and less dense. It's supposed to support bowel motility in presumably less-active indoor cats, but it's hard to see how increasing fiber is not a good thing - for any cat.

Answer:	I would say how much do you use per month an amount of cats you feed.I have 7 cats with different diets.Plus biggest item is cost.I buy a lot when Amazon has it on sale. Wal Mart has a good deal on Friskies brand.I'm not paying an extra $25 per case like Amazon charges.This is $18 for product then shipping fee is $25 per case. I wait until there is no fee then buy large amounts of product.Last time I bought 2 cases each product which totaled 6 cases of 3 different flavors. Dry food if u can buy 16lb.bags an cat litter wait for sale then stock up.I hope this helps you out.

Maybe Amazon was selling it in the past in the 6 lb. size and did not change the photo for it. If this price is around what you paid, I have always received the 16 pound size and don't know of a 6 pound size being sold any longer.

Answer:	After a thorough internet search, I believe Friskies canned, wet food is processed in Missouri, USA. However, their hard foods and treats are processed in China. I have fed my precious cat Friskies since 2010, when he moved in. While searching the web today I noticed many warnings about the Salmon canned cat food. Pet owners have complained that their cat would vomit after eating the Salmon. Apparently they thought the problem was solved, and started selling it again - but I just got a shipment with a swollen can (!!!) and damaged and dirty cans.
