Answer:	I'm no expert on this but here is how the collar works. Very small amounts of chemical (pesticide) are absorbed into the subcutaneous fat layer under the cat's skin. According to the manufacturer, it supposedly does not get into the blood stream or enter any other organs. When the fleas bite they die. Since it is a small amount and according to the label it is for animals that weigh a lot less than a human, I cannot imagine that the collar poses a huge threat. I don't know that I would let the collar come in contact with children's skin and it is recommended that you wash your hands after handling it. Since we tried everything else and this was the only thing that really worked, I would say the fleas pose a greater risk. some cats can have adverse reactions, so watch for hair loss, sores, diarrhea or lethargy. If you see any of those signs remove the collar. Some folks that have multiple cats have said that they put collars on some of them but if one was sensitive to the product they didn't put one on that cat, and their fleas were gone too. So maybe don't put one on the neck snuggler and see what happens.

I knew something was wrong right away because they smelled very strong of moth balls. all were sealed, but for the past 3 years, buying mostly from well know companies like Petco and PetRX, I've never smelled anything and they've worked wonderfully! I called the 800# for Seresto, they took all of the info from my cans and determined that they were knock offs. They send me a return authorization form and shipping label and are sending me two new collars for supporting the investigation. I'll never try to go that cheap again. Question:	How long does it take to kill fleas
Answer:	These run small. The largest size is sufficient for short trips for a large cat. Small will be very small.
Question:	Does this kill the larvae and eggs
Answer:	There aren't specific supports, but it does keep its shape. One of the things I liked about this carrier (I think I mentioned in my review) was that it doesn't collapse on the pet like a lot of other soft carriers.
Question:	Does this repel mosquitos
Answer:	You can take out all 3 wires from the 2 side and bottom pockets. Then the whole carrier could be washable without the wires. A single dose of Capstar kills 90% of adult fleas within 4 hours for dogs and 6 hours for cats, ridding your pet of these pesky parasites. Capstar is for dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens 2 pounds of body weight or greater and 4 weeks of age or older.

Administration

To give Capstar tablets, place the oral tablet directly in your pet’s mouth or hide it in food.

 

Use with Other Medications

If your pet is currently receiving a monthly or longer-lasting flea preventative medication but still becomes infested with fleas, it is safe to administer Capstar to address a flea infestation. 

 

Capstar may also be used together with other products, including heartworm preventatives, corticosteroids, antibiotics, vaccines, deworming medications, and shampoos. 

 

Re-infestations

Capstar kills adult fleas on dogs and cats, offering quick relief for your furry friend. While Capstar works fast to kill adult fleas and alleviate a current infestation, a subsequent preventative solution is recommended to prevent future re-infestations from any existing flea eggs and larvae in the environment. If you notice more fleas have found their way onto your dog or cat in the days following treatment, continue treating your dog or cat with Capstar with up to one dose per day.

Question:	Does it have a smell - chopped it up put in wet food cat would not touch it
Answer:	No it does not smell. Do not chop it up . Take a little bit of the cat food and roll the pill in it. Then place the pill covered in cat food on top of the rest of the cat food. Make sure your cat is hungry, like the first thing in the morning.
Question:	Can this be given in addition to a topical flea solution
Answer:	A vet tech told me it is ok , but I play it safe and apply the topical (Advantage) 24 hours after the Capstar.
Question:	Is this the medicine that makes the cat act nervous like something is biting it after about 20 minutes giving the pill
Answer:	Capstar affect the nervous system of the fleas and they get spastic. The fleas get into a frenzy and squirm around on the cat. All that movement on the cats skin drive them a little crazy for 30-60 minutes.
Question:	What is the difference between this and blue label Capstar
Answer:	I would call the company, and see if they say, "We can get double our money for anyone with a small dog AND a cat." Many do not like cats as well as dogs and if the designers of this drug are members of those who like one species of pets, they may not care if your cat gets poisoned. and there are many foods that cats or dogs find poisonous, and for many who have indoor cats, the pills may expire before needing to use more.

Question:	None of the questions or reviews are for a flea collar. Why
Answer:	Because it's what these Chinese companies do. If it's from China, ALL flea and tick collar item pages, were once for some other item. Would you trust the safety of your pet to people like that? As of now, this "natural" collar doesn't list the ingredients. Amazon know of all this, but still allows them to get away with it.
Question:	What is the size of collar
Answer:	The collar is almost 2 ft long, and you can adjust it to your pet, then cut off the excess! Its also about 1/2 inch wide. I love this collar for the fact that its so long!!
Question:	How many collars are included in one box
Answer:	there is 1 collar, however, I bought 2 for my 2 cats, they had them on for about 2 weeks and I think they got more fleas with them than without them, I would not recommend them
Question:	How long does the scent & the effectiveness of the collar last
Answer:	I put the collar on the cat only a month ago, it seems to be working so far.
