Question:	So if an animal doesn't have the little fob thing it will not open? Or can it be pushed open by a raccoon
Answer:	In theory, without the fob, a critter wouldn't be able to get in. In fact, it does seem to keep almost every other animal out. However, one of our neighbor's cats (who must like our cat food choices) managed to discover a way to push hard enough and blast his way in.

Question:	Does the "opened" setting mean "open for anybody with or without magnet" or does it mean "opened in and out for only the pet with the magnet
Answer:	I'm not sure, but I'm thinking the rubber ring will be too big. I use it on a wide mouth and love it. There is a cinch mechanism, but again, the actual rubber ring doesn't gather.
Question:	Can I install it on a metal door
Answer:	What's the size of the opening? I have a 40 oz., wide mouth HydroFlask and it fits.

Stray pets can often be a big problem, but this highly proven design provides a reliable solution. Your cat wears a small magnet that doubles as an identification tag. A sensitive, fast-reacting circuit in the cat flap guarantees instant entry for selected cats of all size and temperament. An easy to use 4 Way locking system enables complete control over your cats movements. Any animal can exit the door, but the animal requires the magnet to re-enter. Self lining to 2 3/8 (60mm) - ideal for all doors. One 9 volt battery not included". Helpful tips: 1) The collar magnet should be attached directly to the cat’s collar with the paw print symbol facing forwards (see fig 4 of the User Manual). Not doing so will affect this product’s Performance. 2) Ensure that the four way lock is fully seated in the correct position, i.e. in order for pets to go in and out it should be in the unlocked position.

Question:	Can I set this door to work like an ordinary cat door? It only works when everything lines up perfectly. That rarely happens
Answer:	If the electromagnetic catch does not appear to function correctly please check the following: a.The collar is attached in the correct orientation, with the magnet’s arrow and label facing forwards b. Place the cat’s collar around four fingers of your hand, so that the magnet is approximately 75mm - 100mm (3 - 4”) back from your fingertips. Move towards the flap with the bottom of the magnet level with the detector. When the magnet is within about 40mm (11⁄2”) of the detector the electromagnetic catch should be activated enabling you to push open the flap with your fingertips. If the electromagnetic catch operates correctly when tested as above, try to observe why the cat is not succeeding, e.g. is the cat not wearing its collar correctly? Is the cat flap installed at the correct height? etc. In the unlikely event of the electromagnetic catch assembly proving to be faulty please note that the catch assembly may be removed and returned for replacement (if within the 3 year warranty period), thus avoiding the need to remove the cat flap entirely. To do this, remove the battery cover and disconnect battery. Unscrew the two retaining screws for the catch assembly, then depress catch while pulling forward until assembly is fully removed. Question:	Will this fit standard INTERIOR doors? Hoping this particular door will help in reducing sound from leaving a room when it is closed
Answer:	yes it will fit a stander interior door. it has a solid plastic door that should keep the sound in the room as the magnet keeps the door closed accept when our cat comes in thru it. We have had ours many years and finally had to replace it and was very happy with the new type of magnet for the our cat to wear,smaller and lighter
Question:	Do you get collars with the magnets
Answer:	You don't get a collar with the magnet. The magnet goes on a regular collar.
Question:	How to replace the battery
Answer:	On the panel where the dial is on the front of the door, that panel will pop off, you need to insert the end of a screewdriver to help you, you will then see the battery, a nine volt. When replaced you just pop the cover back on. Hope this helps. Merry Christmas, Sue
