Answer:	I use it to carry my house key or some $$ depending on where we're going. Mine actually has a zippered compartment w/in the zippered area. This inner compartment isn't very deep and will hold a credit card or some cash. I normally put my key in the outter zippered compartment. If you wanted to carry a fairly small amount of treats, they would also fit there.

Answer:	I have the medium, I'm ball-parking here because I'm at the office and the bag is stuffed away in my closet never to be used again, but it appears to be about 8-9" deep, 12" wide, and 10" tall. And that's the Medium! It creates an unsafe toppling effect and it's totally useless for what I needed it for since it's not hands-free: I have to constantly hold him since the slightest movement on his part makes him fall out of it.

Answer:	I wouldn't consider it waterproof, maybe a little water resistant like a vinyl gym bag. And the top & front "door" are mesh so no definitely not waterproof, hope this help. I was a great carrier for my two cats on a cross-country flight.

Answer:	I'm seeing a different weight. Weight and dimensions are are reference to the "package size" is this the actual item or the package it comes in? AA says 17L x 12.5W x 8.5H. Trying to find something that will work and keep a 12lb Pekingese (with a full coat) comfortable.

Answer:	I havent used it by train but I have used it when traveling in the car and my cat seemed to really love it. I can spread out the sides and it gives her room to sprawl out and shift around so she feels more comfortable.

Answer:	It has a hard dense 1/8 inch base that doesn't bend with 1/4 inch foam padding on top - both are in a zippered fitted cover of which the bottom is thick nylon - looks water/rip resistant and top is soft fuzzy material. hope this helps. We had no issues on our flights.
