Answer:	Other have answered this questions with the dimensions. My 12 lb cat has never considered the basket as a place to lay. After awhile, we turned it into the place where we stored his toys. He likes that. Sometimes we play catch when he’s in the crow’s nest: he catches his toys and then carefully drops them into the basket. It’s the best use I see for that part, outside of kitten napping. I also removed the bottom “hammock”, as he never used it, and he now plays more with the bottom hole.

Answer:	It comes in parts and is put together with large screws and bolts. The base is wide, heavy and very stable so it does not need to be secured to the floor. Our cat does a running leap at it and it has never fallen over. We've had it for almost a year and it still looks brand new. Of course, maybe other cats would be more aggressive in playing on it but I can recommend this product for quality!

Answer:	First time out I bought the PetFusion pyramid scratcher my 2 cats absolutely love this thing and go at it every single day many time during the day and ive only had it 2-3 months. I was hoping it would last for a year but I'm not so sure the way there going at this thing. AND in regards to the cardboard bits....YES lots of little pieces of card cardboard bits. I have a (very low pile) area rug (important for what I'm about to tell you) area which is on top of a hardwood floor. It got real old real fast having to pull my upright vacuume cleaner out to vacuume up all those cardboard bits so I found something that is light easy and very convenient to use Its a carpet sweeper I bought the one made by "Bissell" its a blueish color and when I ordered it on amazon was $20.00 its just a manual sweeper and it picks up all those little tiny cardboard bits (on the low pile rug and on the hardwood floor too. I love the PetFusion cardboard scratcher I bought and love the fact that my cats obviously love it too that I will be purchasing in the near future this jumbo lounger. However I am not going to use it as a "lounger" I am planning on propping it up against something so they can stand on the floor and stretch (reaching up) to scratch and when there done mutilating the one side I will turn it over propping it up too. When they have destroyed both sides and if they are not interested in scratching the inside area I don't know how but I am planning on "sawing through both ends and propping them up as well soooo they will eventually destroy this entire thing and by doing that it will make it so much more worth what it cost to buy. Answer:	I would say it depends on how many cats are using it as well, we have 9 cats and probably 1/2 of them use it. You can keep flipping it over to keep wear even on both sides, i'd say in 6 months ours starts to look a bit worn but still has plenty of life left in it. I'd say if you keep it clean and brush the cardboard off it you can keep it looking nice for a year and it will probably last a year beyond that. Basically they can keep clawing down through the cardboard layer by layer and it's well over 1 1/2 inches of cardboard.

Question:	What is the difference between the orginal scratch lounger and the scratch lounger ii
Answer:	I've bought both. The scratch lounger ii is much thinner & you can't reverse the floor to use both sides. The cardboard doesn't seem to be glued together as tightly as it is with the original one. The original lasts my cat about 3 months before it's fully shredded. The ii lasted less than 3 weeks. The ii also made a much bigger mess. My cat was tearing out big chunks of the cardboard. I wouldn't recommend the ii version.. at all.

Answer:	Doesn't everything have a CA65 warning? Sorry, I don't know the answer but I've had it almost a year and my cat is alive and well.

Answer:	corrugated-type of cardboard with a harder, compressed cardboard on each side. It's quite sturdy and well-made. Regrettably, for me, it was yet another item my cat took one look at and walked away from. But perhaps your cat isn't totally fat and apathetic.

Answer:	Yes, it is reversible. My cat loves this cat scratcher lounge bed. He does use it as both a scratching pad and a lounge bed. He tends to scratch each end on the outside edge so when it gets worn , I turn the outside to the inside (closest to the wall). When the new outside ends get ragged, I flip the whole scratcher over. It helps to make it last longer.

Answer:	No, but what I do, is what I do with all cat hair area’s. Wet a rubber glove, and run it over the area. It works just as well as a cat roller. You can use a vacuum attachment to get down into the scratching bed.

I did sprinkle cat nip in the middle at first.

Answer:	The description stating 2 pack is deceiving, I ordered this sofa thinking that I was going to get two of them. If it was described as 2 piece, that would have been straight forward.

Answer:	I didn't measure when I received this but I believe the dimensions are correct. I had been struggling to find a big couch scratcher for my two cats, one of them is 15lbs and he fits on it just fine.
