Answer:	Yes, I use this on the arms of my sofa.
Question:	Does it leave a sticky residue when removed
Answer:	Very little. I removed them from one couch and moved to another with no problem. However they are very sticky so you might want to save the paper that comes with them in case you need to move them. I put them on wax paper and it was a little difficult to then remove the wax paper to reattach them

However, it is also true that the cardboard is an intricate part of the design, and is not replaceable. And, sorry to say, due to the expense of the item, we cannot afford to replace it each year.

Answer:	I have large 16lb medium hair, a bit chubby around the mid section and he loves going in the triangle middle. He has even run thru it but he had to be careful. Look for areas where your cat is already scratching, or where they like to spend time. • Rub some catnip or spray catnip spray on the rope of the scratcher. • Place the scratcher in front of a window so your cat can use the perch on top to look out, or use the perch as part of a superhighway to help your cat jump up to another shelf or perch

Answer:	Pad/carpet area is 12x5 inches. Hangs down from door knob about 4.5 inches. The door knob strap is sturdily connected to the pad/carpet and supports the weight of my 17 pound cat. Other scratchers had a rope and grommet which stretched and pulled apart under the weight of my cat.
Question:	Is the cat nip already on the scratcher? I want it for kittens, and they can't have it
Answer:	My cat likes to reach as high as he can when he uses the scratcher. He gets a good stretch. I have no problem with my cat scratching the door. The real benefit of this scratcher is the sewn loop over the door knob. Other scratchers use a rope knotted through a grommet which cannot hold the weight of my cat and over time it breaks. This cat scratcher is more durable and does not break under my cat's weight.
