Answer:	Using extension cords is basically safe. Those official warnings against using extension cords are legal boilerplate that theoretically protects manufacturers from lawsuits if something goes wrong, from both user misuse and manufacturing defects. When not overloaded with high wattage equipment, modern electrical circuits are designed to operate safely using extension cords (think of old fashioned lightbulbs rated at 100 watts as lower than normal usage since one circuit can handle several such lightbulbs running 24/7). Aside from overload, the true safety issues arise from pets and children chewing (as well as humans tripping & falling), causing partial exposure and/or breakage of prongs and wiring that might come into contact with flamable material, or electrocute a living being. One is a softshell mat that wraps the inside of his hooded bed and a second that is a hard thermo mat which is on top of a carpeted mat infront of one of the garage window sills. I also have a propane gas heater that keeps the garage a steady comfortable temperature. To answer your question though it will be safe. If your garage is not heated, I would recommend covering the mat with at least a cardboard box to keep her warmth around her whold body. Otherwise she will get cold, especially if she is wet, try to dry her with a towel. And a large towel over the cardboard box might help retain the heat in the box. Answer:	Yes the pillow is part of the bed. It contains the heater but still is nice and soft and has Velcro holding it in the bed. After 6 years it is still in great shape. My cats love this bed!
Question:	Trying to figure out if its working properly. I feel the heat from the bottom of the bed but no warmth from the top. Should I return and reorder
Answer:	The source of the heat is a small heating pad in the bottom of the bed. I presume that you may have difficulty feeling the heat on the top of the bed because the heat needs to travel through the stuffing, so the full effect is only felt when pushing down on the bedding for a while. You mentioned that you can feel the warmth from the bottom of the bed where the heating pad is, so at least it is working, but to rule out having a heating pad that isn't hot enough, you can try putting something in the bed that weighs more than 5 pounds to simulate a cat and after an hour or so you can test to see if you can feel any heat. Even if it is only a little heat, it is a lot for a cat that lives outside.

Answer:	Mine is on 24/7. Hottest it gets is about 101-102F when the cat is actually in it. Cat leaves and it cools to 75-85F.

Question:	Any advice on how to clean the foam support? I don't think these can be washed in the machine
Answer:	I don't recommend machine washing the foam. I took the bed apart and washed the fabric in the machine and let it air dry. If the foam really needs washing, you could try using a wet cloth or try immersing it in soapy water and gently squeeze it a few times. Then do the same with clear water to rinse it, and air dry.
Question:	I'm following the instructions to try to wash the cover, but can't figure out how to remove the heater. Ideas
Answer:	There is a zipper on the actual pillow of this product. You would need to pull the pillow out from the inside of the bed to see it and then you will easily be able to remove the Pet Bed Warmer on the inside.

Answer:	I do not know the size, volts anyway, but it is a flat pad that sits under the cushion padding. I have two bald cats that use them and they love them. Always keeps them snug , we have two of them.

When it warms up in spring and summer, 60s-70s-80s, she will not sleep in the bed, she'll sleep on her fuzzy bathmat, not the cat bed.

Answer:	This detergent has no added fragrance or dye. It is very comparable to Tide Free and Clear. I personally use it, my clothes just smell fresh. No scent from the detergent at all. The perfect detergent for sensitive skin or those with sensitivity to fragrance.

Now softener will leave behind a fragrance as if you understand the washing machine function and process. The very last stage is a mixing process. Meaning the softener releases and mixed diluted with the water on purpose and then spins air dry. Softener and tge fragrance left behind is embedded in the clothes on purpose before drying. Answer:	It isn't normal for it to make a noise. When I first plugged mine in there wasn't any noise. Sounds like there might be a defect.

Mine have been plugged in for about 2 weeks with temps in the 20's - 40's and the water just stays room temperature, it doesn't keep it hot. If you touch the under side of the bowls with a bare hand it just feels slightky warm, so there's just enough heat to keep the contents from freezing. I've not used them for wet food yet because my feral kitties eat it immediately and they have dry food for snacks between meals.

Question:	Does the wall/roof insulate the heat well
Answer:	The shelter has a flexible inner insulating layer, between 1/4 and 1/2 inch thick, covered with fabric. The only openings are the door, which comes with a removable plastic cover the cat can push in/out for access, and a small hole in the rear for the warming pad electrical cord to exit. The rear half of the pad has a water-proof warmer; the front half doesn't. The pad produces mild warmth when powered, but nothing like a home heating pad. So I feel comfortable that it protects the outdoor cat that adopted us against wind, blowing rain, and mild winter temperatures. We live in Texas, and our shelter is on a bench on a covered porch. So our winters are mild and the location is somewhat sheltered. If I lived in the northern US with long, frigid winters, or the shelter were more exposed to the elements, I'd definitely want something with more protection and a warmer heat source.
Question:	How long is the cord
Answer:	The cord on the heating pad extends approximately 69 inches from the heating pad. Another couple of inches is probably lost in getting it out of the cat shelter which would give it an effective length of about five and a half feet (5' 6")

Answer:	According to the manufactures website, it is 24/7. It takes about an hour to 2 to heat up to 102 deg and stays there. There is a heated side and a non-heated side.

Answer:	I would not consider this shelter as being waterproof. I believe the fabric itself may shed water but the zipper would probably admit water. I'm quite sure the bottom would admit standing water along the zippered seams. We used this shelter in a semi-protected space (small porch) and enclosed all but the opening with a black plastic bag. Not esthetic but effective. We have found homes for three of the lovely kittens born in it 55 days ago and Mom is scheduled to be spayed on July 1st.

Question:	How can I contact the seller? because my package was missing a suction cup
Answer:	The dimensions are the same as the green/tan.
Question:	Got mine today and I've spent 3 hours trying to get one of the suction cups to stay. The other 2 work perfect. How do you get replacement parts
Answer:	My cat is large, should weigh 12 lbs. but is 15 and on a diet. He's a long and tall orange male anyway. I just got the larger size for him because he was spilling over the sides of the round one. He loves it, and if you had two cats who sleep together, it would also work well for that.
Question:	Will this fit in a car window
Answer:	The heated pad is about 14" x 18". The heat pad can be easily removed from the fleece cover. Also, I felt the encircling roll of fleece was a bit too confining for my large Maine Coon cat. I found the seam on the roll and as able to reach in and remove the stuffing from about half the roll. Now he has a place to rest his head and is still able to spread out.
Question:	For the gray kitty face perch (not the green/tan one), what are the dimensions ? only those of the latter are provided, even though the shape differs
Answer:	Our beds and pads are not pressure activated. The K&H Thermo-Fashion Splash will emit heat anytime it is plugged in so your pet can sense that heat and be drawn to the bed or pad for warmth and comfort. When your pet is not on the pad, the heat will dissipate into the air and the surface temperature will vary according to the ambient air temperature.
