Question:	This vs. The triangular Shaped house/Tent looking house? Which provides more heat during the winter days and nights
Answer:	The Heated K&H Outdoor Kitty House would be the more sturdy of the two and provide sufficient heat. It has an excellent thick heating pad you put inside which is very cushionyyy. I took off the plastic on both sides since the movement of the plastic seemed to scare the feral cats away. Heating pad is warm for them and works with the heat of their own bodies. Keep this out of the rain and wind. Garage would be perfect if for a feral cat, otherwise place it where it wont get wet and battered by wind and where dogs cant get to the cats. I bought this for our feral cat we have had since a kitten when her mother put her up on our wall and left her there. We took her in and kept her in our garage and she has always remained very warm, and that was 2 years ago. She roams the neighborhood but always comes back at night for food and her house.
Question:	Why can't you use this with a commercial extension cord? This would almost be a must for most cases (no one usually has a plug near by
Answer:	I have two of these houses plus a home made one in the front of my house under my eaves...Unfortunately, I don't have an outdoor plug nearby so I bought a heavy duty outdoor extension plug with a three plug coupler and plugged the three in, ran the extension cord under the eaves of my house up off the ground and into my garage...plug connections are covered to avoid getting wet and this is the third year I've used them without incident

Answer:	This is very late, I realize since the question was asked 4 years + ago, but I just have to add - if you have senior cats and it gets cold where you live? Please bring them inside. *Before anyone yells at me, I do know that some kitties refuse to come in a house. I have cared for feral cats and cats that are fully socialized with humans & I know they each have a unique personality complete with "quirks" - in which case this house could be awesome! We always just have a box with a towel and sometimes a heating pad with a timer for the ones who won't come in. But if at all possible,bring those kitties in :)

Answer:	I have 3 k&h heated cat houses of which I’ve run for almost 6 mos a year, for 3 yrs now. I am an electrician. As long as it is plugged in it is using power. The power these use are so minimal, they’re not much different than running 4-5 LED lights. No extra money at all. I am retired, now. I’d be screaming at the cats, “quit going in & out those doors, you little punks.”

Question:	Can the tunnel be washed in an automatic washer
Answer:	Since there’s a huge springy coil throughout the tunnel, I don’t think that would be a good idea. Just use a wet rag and spot clean it, but mine has never gotten dirty at all and my two use it daily. They love the sound of it and all the openings that they can go through. And my cats are big and nine months old.

Answer:	I purchased it for a feral kitty that stays mainly in my yard and on my patio but is still too timid to come inside. I folded up a warm pet blanket, placed it inside and set it down on the patio. He went inside the cube right away! Sleeps in there on cold nights. He really loves it! If you put a soft pet blanket or a throw in there, I bet your kitty would sleep inside the cube.

Answer:	It's big (10 inches tall and 8 inches wide) and not only does our very large Maine Coon fit in nicely but my uncle's small dog tried to go it, too! A 20lb cat will fit in (and be able to turn around and sit) and get out easily. I ordered it specifically because it's spacious and my cat does like small containers.

Question:	Can my 16 pound cat fit in this
Answer:	I highly doubt it. I was wondering if my Maine coon would fit in it cuz he's a cave dweller, but I noticed this ad has conflicting heights listed! It says 18 in. in one of the pics (i think the last one) and 16.5 in. in the description. It must be 16.5 cuz i saw the same brand but a much higher price (not an add-on) with different colors, btw it is orange and not brown, and they're listed as having a height of 16.5 in.

Answer:	The material this is made out of won't do well in the rain or snow. If you patio is covered and depending on where you live it may be a good choice. Also how big is the stray? I would say no more than a 15lb cat at most would be the most comfortable. It is very cosy, full all around protection and could definitely block some wind for the stray.
