Answer:	I am sure if you purchased this corn, sunflower, and peanut mix, the squirrels would appreciate the supplement to their diet. Ideal nutrition? No, but it is affordable and they will enjoy it. Peanuts are legumes, not nuts, so they should never be the main source of a squirrel's diet. Corn is also more of a snack food. Both corn and peanuts can harbor a toxic mold, so you need to look for that. A better diet should have fruits and vegetables, and nuts in the shell. Variety is best as some foods can inhibit the absorption of minerals from other foods.For my squirrels, I spend a fortune on raw unsalted walnuts, pecans, and occasionally other nuts if on sale (usually without the shell). I try to avoid almonds, pine nuts sourced from China, and cashews based on my online research. I also include some fresh chopped apple, pear, or peach a few times a week, and sometimes lettuce, broccoli, or carrot, along with some dried sulfite-free fruit bits (there is an add-on offer on Amazon for the dried papaya bits, sold for pet birds, and other fruit/nut mixes; I add it to my cart when the price is low). My squirrels also eat food for the birds, such as raw shell-free sunflower seed and yes, peanuts... I just try to offer variety as much as I can. Like humans, they usually go for the less-healthy options first.My suggestions are a little extreme. If any creature shows up in my yard, I will feed it and obsess over its health and happiness. :-) I definitely spend too much, and what I provide is more than most would. My friend works at a wildlife rehabilitation clinic and she said even they do not feed as many healthy options as I do. Answer:	There is Zupreem Smart Select for Cockatiels and Lovebirds or Zupreem Pure Fun for Greys and Conures. I think one of these would work for your Ringneck. Our richly textured nuggets incorporate fresh ingredients slowly baked to perfections. The baking process keeps more nutrition intact because it’s less abrasive to ingredients, particularly proteins, vitamins and minerals.

Feeding Instructions

Oven Fresh Bites parrot food is formulated to be fed free choice and is intended to be your parrot’s primary source of nutrition, representing 75% of your pet’s daily food consumption. Nuts and seeds should not exceed 5 – 10% while fruits and vegetables may be 10 – 15%. Recommended Produce That Can Be Fed In Addition To Oven Fresh Bites: Papaya, sweet potatoes, spinach, chard, mango, carrots, parsley, banana, pumpkin, broccoli, cranberries, corn, snap peas, English peas, blueberries, peppers, romaine lettuce and more.

Association Feeding Conversion Method

Combine 50% of current diet with an equal amount of Oven Fresh Bites parrot food. Fill food bowl approximately 30% and feed 3x daily for 15-30 minutes, removing food between meals to determine how much of each food type has been consumed. Increase the amount of Oven Fresh Bites with each feeding until the parrot is eating 100% of its new and nutritious diet. This method may take a few days or weeks, depending on how your parrot responds.

Immediate Transition Conversion Method

Offer Oven Fresh Bites as a treat for several days and remove all parrot food from the cage at night. Feed the regular diet free choice during the day. After 5 to 7 days, introduce 100% Oven Fresh Bites gourmet parrot food for the morning feeding. If the parrot has not eaten the food by the afternoon, remove and replace with ¾ of the normal ration. Remove before bedtime. During the next few weeks increase the amount of time that the morning portion of Oven Fresh Bites food is left in the cage before giving the parrot an evening feeding with the previous diet. Repeat the process until the morning ration is fully consumed and offer a second helping in the evening.

Instinctive Feeding Conversion Method

Most parrots prefer to feed from the highest elevation possible where the risk of exposure to predators is minimal. Feed a 50% ration of the regular food in its original position, add another bowl containing an equal amount of Oven Fresh Bites parrot food in the highest location possible in the cage and add a water vessel nearby. Observe the amount of parrot food remaining in each bowl at the end of the day. Decrease the amount of food in the lower bowl, as the portion eaten in the top bowl increases.
