Answer:	It does but not at 100% power. I used only one thinking that both would die on me in the middle of plowing. Each lasted around 30-40 minutes individually. Will order two new 6ah 40v batteries now and use the included 5ah batteries as backups. Did a good job but would’ve been better at full power I think.

Where to findStores that sell simplicity snow througers

Answer:

I had the 2017 unit, but got an upgrade to 2018 with a warranty claim, so I can answer that. The chute is now motorized via a switch. I agree with the review that says it is a bit difficult to press, but really not a problem. The lights are bigger. It now has a reverse gear, in addition to a transport gear which disengages the auger and moves quickly (say to go to a neighbors house). The drive and plough buttons are now on the top of the handles, which I find easier for long sessions as you can use your weight on it. There are battery level indicators on the console. For me the performance was much improved, though my old unit might have had a problem and so the warranty replacement. The service was great.

Will this fit a Simplicity model

Answer:

Charging time depends on how much of the battery is used up — eg if battery is 70% used it takes about 2 to 3 hours max to charge it to 100% - so in my mind that is a quick charge for a 40 volt battery. If both batteries are 70% used and you have a dual charger it takes the 2 to 3 hours to fully charge both batteries. You should know that to use the batteries down to 30% you are snow blowing for almost an hour straight. My driveway is big - twenty two feet wide and sixty feet long plus we have two sidewalks each sixty feet long and with a foot of snow - not fluff- I can do the entire area in thirty to forty minutes without rushing. Answer:	Yes, the skids are adjustable, and the tires have pretty good traction. I haven't used this one on a gravel driveway, but I don't see why it would be different than other 2-stage machines in that regard. I have gone through gravel patches (skids low, so sucking the gravel up off of concrete) and it did fine.
