Question:	What guage 100'power cord should I get for the 1800 power cord blower
Answer:	According to Home Depot buying guide (http://www.homedepot.com/c/factors_to_consider_when_choosing_extension_cords_HT_BG_EL), you need to get at least a 12 gauge for a 100' cord. As you go to lower gauge numbers (i.e. large diameter wire) the power cord will of course be heavier and less flexible. In addition, you don't have as much power consumed by the cord so more power gets to the blower. I have used 14 gauge, but the extension cord gets warm and the blower does not perform as well. The Home Depot recommendation of 12 gauge will give you better performance from your blower. You could also use 10 gauge for the best performance ... but you might not appreciate the extra bulk and the performance increase is probably less significant.

Answer:	Hi: I think this is a snow shovel. VS. a Snow Thrower. This one is not directional. In fact, it mostly throws the snow and ice right back on you while you are pushing it. My mistake.

Answer:	I gots the Toro 1800 Power Curve 15 amp. She's a good one she is! Purchased her December 3, 2014 I did. That year's 38381 model had a plastic auger tho. It was working great until someone (i.e. Spouse) plowed over the extention cord. Heck, lucky nobody was hurt there. Ya but heck, them there plastic auger blades and shaft done snapped in two. Now I'm in Minnesota don't ya know. And this year ya got your Polar Vortex blowing colder than -50F. UFF-DA, she was a cold one she was! But heck ya can't be too surprised that an all plastic auger would break ya know. Now heck, can't go blaming Toro too much. Toro is one heck of a good company. They're from here in Minnesota ya know. That there Climate Change is to blame for that doozie of a Polar Vortex ya know. But heck, if Climate Change is here to stay, maybe Toro should make that there auger stronger? Any-hoo... I gotta go plug in my car so it will start. It ain't no electric car. In Minnesota ya got what ya call your block heater. Answer:	i do not know i bought this blade for a snapper lawn mower. I also have a John Deere only a different model. My bagger attachment came with the mulching blades (my Deere mower has two not one like the snapper) i know my deere blades have a star hole in the center. but compatability? unless it specifically states it will fit i tend not to purchase that item and keep searching till i either find one that states it will fit or i give up and buy the expensive Deere part. lol Good luck!

Answer:	Yes, some dust does escape while using the vacuum function. It depends on how much dry dirt is in the debris that you are picking up.
Question:	I've got lots of acrons falling. Will this pick them up and will the acorns hurt the unit
Answer:	I just uyse mine for the first time. I purchased it elsewhere because I wanted it right away oh, but it is the same model. As someone else noted, the instruction manual specifically says to avoid acorns. What ends up happening is that it will get stuck in the impeller, you can hear it clanking around, and that will eventually damage the blades, especially on an electric model like this. So, while it will pick up the acorns, I wouldn't recommend it. I have found that reducing the speed and hovering above leaves that happen to have acorns under them works pretty well to get the leaves. I also have a portion of my driveway that is gravel, and if I hover above that, it will pick up the leaves without picking up the gravel.

Answer:	NO, don’t buy this. I am 5’2 108 lbs. and 68 yrs., very determined to do my own yard work. The vac tube makes it impossible for me to handle the weight. As it is now, I have to hold the motor at chest height. There should be a shorter tube attachment option. Blower is no problem.

Answer:	I store mine outside under a cover all year. No problems so far (2years)

Answer:	As stated no it does not come with a cord. The machine can draw up to 15 amps. If you are using a cord rated for 15 amps and it is a little long you are going to be tripping breakers or fuses more than likely. Rule of thumb is for every run of 100 feet you lose approximately 5 ampere rating on the cord. Your best bet if a person is going to be using a 100' cord is to buy a 20 amp rated cord. When you starve a motor of the electricity it needs to do its job it shortens its life. I would also buy a cord rated for very cold temperatures. Cold temperature cords do not get hard and crack when trying to roll them up when you are done.
Question:	About how many inches of snow do you think this could cut through. As much as 10" high
Answer:	I used it in 10-12 inches of snow last winter & it worked fine. You just need to take it easy with wet snow at that height. Dry snow is absolutely no problem. But anything higher I would say you should do it in 2 passes. It's not as powerful as a gas engine, but it'll get the job done if you use your head. Still easier than shoveling.

Answer:	Rule of thumb: For MOST electric throwers, 12 Gauge will work up to 100 foot long cords. You can usually get away with 14 Gauge if you only need 50 feet of total distance. A 10 Gauge cord, while heavy and usually less flexible, will work up to 150 feet. First you must determine what gauge outdoor extension cord you need. Gauge is the thickness of the wires in the extension cord. The smaller the gauge, the thicker the wires, and the more electricity the wires will conduct. Outdoor extension cords have a maximum amperage that they can conduct. Using a cord that does not provide enough power can cause your snowblower to work less efficiently and even burn up the motor. It can also lead to fires as the cord will heat up, and could melt the outer protective covering. Also make sure that the outlet you plug it into is equal in value in amps, circuit and wire gauge size. Determine amperage of tool / appliance Calculate cord length - use shortest possible cord. Answer:	Yes you need to stay plugged in to use outdoors....but I use it indoors frequently unplugged to chase my dogs around and it does very well! :0)

Question:	Does this fit the 51592 model
Answer:	I experienced the same thing after I ordered 3 of these blades. Had to sharpen them on grinder (lightly) to put an edge on it. They are just stamped steel and I guess that factory doesn't bother to put a good edge on it.

Question:	Is there a conversion kit to fit my Toro 51585 blower to a vacuum
Answer:	That model is not currently matching our blades for fit up. This model has different manuals based on the serial for your mower, but this blade is also shorter than the toro timecutter 3225 OEM blades. Answer:	Don't know if third-party quality is as good as OEM but both will wear out reasonably fast.
Question:	Should I need to purchase a new set of nuts, bolts, etc
Answer:	I have used the mod: 621 electric start since 2012, and used these replasement parts several times over the years, they last about two seasons with heavy snow years and concrete driveways. I believe the mod: 721 is the same.
Question:	Does this fit an older CCR
Answer:	Yes it can be replaced without removing blades. Follow instructions on draining fluids, and tip blower back until unit rests on wheels and handle. Remove old scraper and replace with new one.
Question:	Are these rubber? Just like originals

Answer:	you should use a 7.5 amp 56v battery. you can also use two 2.5 amp 56v battery

Answer:	shifter direct the snow to one side or the other green thing on the left is probably a power boost
Question:	how long does the battery take to recharge, once it quits working off the initial charge
Answer:	It lasts about 30 minutes. It takes about 15-20 minutes to recharge. We are getting a 2nd battery so we can keep swapping out as needed...Love it!
