Answer:	I have the round 12' w x 30" h pool that came with the 530 gph filter pump that has 1 1/4" hoses and this 1000 gph pump was a direct replacement. No hose adapters were needed. I'm not exactly sure what the model number is of the 530 gph pump but the hoses fit perfectly onto this pump. All I did was plug the inlet/outlet openings in the pool with the plugs that came with the pool and swapped out the pump. Took 5 minutes. I found a lot of the reviews here confusing because some seemed to indicate that hose adapters would be necessary but that turned out not to be the case. I'm pretty happy with this pump. Works waaaay better than the 530 gph.

Answer:	Yes it does come with the hoses, clamps, filter, and everything that you need to use it. I am not sure of the diameter of the hoses. It works really well for a 14' x 48" pool.

Answer:	Not sure, but I would not recommend it. My first one lasted about 18 years and I never had a problem with it. I am now into my second year with a new one and nothing has ever gone wrong. Its a very reliable pump and I can't think of a reason for an extended warranty.

Answer:	I was sent a pump with a broken pivot nut. Could not tighten lid. Lots of bubbles. Check filter gasket and the tightness of lid. If that is not it you have discovered an air leak in the suction side of pool. New pump higher suction could cause this.

Answer:	Just arrived. Includes pump, two hoses and directional inlet. NO outlet fittings and NO plunger valves. In addition, for anyone making a "hillbilly pool" with a stock tank, this cannot pull water over the top. The best I can see, holes will need to be cut in the side so water can flow down into the pump.

Answer:	Yes, the lid can be hard to get off of the pump. What I use to make it easier is "O-Ring Lube", available at pool supply stores. Apply a thin coating to all mating surfaces and the O-ring seal. One other item I use is a strainer basket in the pool surface strainer, it catches most the leaves, so cleaning the basket on the pump doesn't have to be that often. Hope it helps you.

Answer:	I don’t think you can. It’s a factory warranty and if you install it I have read that the factory warranty isn’t honored when I read other customers responses. If it’s installed by a pool company it’s honored.

Answer:	I am almost positive this product came with the plunger valves, but I had to order Adaptor B Item # 10722 (3 of them) and item # 10849 (1) to get it all hooked up to my salt generator and pump.

Answer:	It may fit depending on the hoses. I own a 12x30 Summer waves pool with 1.25 inch hose openings and I was able to use this pump. I had to purchase hose adapters and threading tape. And too my surprise it worked. I'm a 37 year old female and I'm not so handy but I put mines together. I found a video on youtube with step by step instructions. Answer:	If you are pumping higher than the water level (pool, pond.etc) then you will need to install a check valve to keep prime. You may have a leak in your piping, letting air in and not allowing full pumping power. Check your basket strainer to see if has too much debris. Worst case scenario is that you could have inadequate power supply that only allows start up and then slowly decreases pumping. I hope this was helpful.

Answer:	I have a 15' round, 54" deep above ground pool that I bought from a local pool store. They installed it s well. I was given a 1HP pump by Waterway. I never had any problem with sand being blown into the pool, and though there was some rotation in the pool, it was far from a whirlpool. It kept the leaves & debris in the center of the pool, which made it easier to clean. That was 6 years ago, & my Waterway just died. I just replaced it with this pump. It's supposed to be arriving Tuesday, so I can't comment on any differences. I can tell you that the pool company gave me a TWM 19 diameter sand filter, & it's been just fine for us. Answer:	Yes, you have to remove (4) long bolts from the back of the motor and then you can rotate the pump 90 degrees. I had to do this and it has worked well. The Hayward unit has worked well for me and is a good deal for the money.

The WAPC250 is an automatic on/off water removal pool cover pump. Max. Flow rate is 3000 gallons per hour using 1-1/4" drain hose. Answer:	This pump starts to pump water at 2 1/8 inches of water, not good when the temperature is below freezing. if there is 2 inches of FROZEN ICE SURROUNDING THE PUMP , it wont pump any water because the pump is encased in surrounding ICE. This pump is designed to protect itself and not your pool cover.

Answer:	I have a concrete pool and a mesh cover suspended in air above the pool water. I place this pump below the cover on one of the pool steps to keep the water level from rising all winter. I used to use it on top of a solid cover to keep rain water from building up on the cover.

Answer:	Until two days ago my pump wasn't only completely underwater but it was completely under a foot of hard frozen snow and ice. Now I did unplug the pump knowing that a hard freeze was coming and also had to wait until the temps got above freezing in order for the snow and ice to thaw. But yesterday I plugged it back in and it still worked like a champ!

Answer:	I use this pump for my 18000 gallon pool. It is sufficient for that with the heat pump and pool vacuum cleaner when I need to clean the pool. I think it should be fine

Answer:	Yes. I have a 32,000 gallon pool and it works great. I have had this pump for tree years now. I run it year round. I went through two Hayward single stage pumps and I highly recommend this. Monthly electric bills are lower using this pump. I have never run my pump at a full rpm. I run the pump at 2200 rpm for 6 hours, 2800 rpm for 3 hours, and off the rest of the time. I have had to issues running a Polaris 280 with it. I just replace it though with an electric pool cleaner.

Answer:	The pump has a variety of speeds. It is programmable. When mine turns on, it is programmed at high speed for 30 minutes to clear the surface and get the water moving. My pool man programmed it for me to drop to 30% for the next 5 hours. That saves me $$. Now if I'm having people over to swim, i can hit a quick clean button to clear the surface again. The longer i can keep the pump running at less than full power the more money I save.

Answer:	Variable speed pumps can be set to handle different flows to accommodate pipe size, I use this pump to replace a 1.5 HP pool filter pump (2" pipe)and a 1 HP spa jets pump (1-1/2" pipe). Just program the speed (RPM) to accommodate the use and the flow of the pipe sizes. By only running the pump at the design capacity of the plumbing, noise is reduces to a wiper and it actually uses about half the energy that the original pump uses (in my case 400 watts vs 800 for the spa, yours may be different). All the speed in both pumps are set lower than 3000 RPM. No issues vacuuming (cleaning) and the Jets are quite strong in the spa). If you can effort the extra cost variable speed pumps are more versatile and they don't destroy their self by running full speed.

Question:	Can the pump discharge be adjusted from up top to a side discharge
Answer:	I don't see any easy way without tearing it apart and "maybe" rotating the housing 90 degrees. I'm not sure if that will even work. If you have room, you can always use a 90 degree street elbow fitting right out of the discharge housing.
Question:	Where do I find instructions to convert to 220 volt
Answer:	There is a slide switch that you select 110 or 220 volt on the outside end of the motor. Remove the plastic cover by the two screws.
Question:	Why is the green wire on top for it says Earth terminal I don't know what that means

Question:	Can you wash the pump filter? and How often do you need to change the filter out and put int new one
Answer:	Yes, you can wash the filter. I usually use the flat stream on my hose setting. I do this once a week so I get 3 to 4 weeks out of a filter.
Question:	How level should the place be ? I want to put it on backyard its level for the most part but has gradual highs and lows , may be 8" difference
Answer:	It has to be level, but it won't hurt if you have a slight slope away from the house. I leveled an area that has a 1/4-1/2 inch slope pointing away from the house. In the event something happens and 1,718 gallons of water come pouring out, it's best that water goes away from the house.
Question:	Does it use chemicals
Answer:	Any pool will need to use some form of chemical to keep the water free of things living in it. This pool comes with a simple non-chemical filter.
Question:	how many adults fit comfortably in this pool
Answer:	We have about 50 adult tilapia fish (10 inches, two to three pounds) in this pool at the moment. It will hold about 160 or so eventually. Tongue in cheek answer. I tried but just couldn't resist.

Answer:	Ah,...yes, it should. My koi pond is 3,300 gallons with inground concrete walls and this is the particular reason why I had purchased this one. If you live where you get winters, I would probably recommend getting proper the water aeration and circulation for your fish with this pump especially if you have your fish hibernate in their pit. The pit needs to be at least 4 feet below the surface were the most of the aeration and the water circulation is at from using this pump. It this pond inside of a building at room temperature or outside where the weather elements would be?
