Answer:	I have owned above ground pools since 1978. The seller of the first pool I purchased said not to use a pillow. He said it raises the cover out of the pool and expose it to the sun and wears it out. I took his advice and never used a pillow. I am on my second above-ground pool installed 1998. I have had many pool covers over the years and the majority of them wear out within about 3-5 years. I have had many types expensive 20 year warranty and cheaper ones. They all last about the same 3-5 years. I live in Southwest Ohio and have a 28 foot diameter pool. I have had this cover for about 2 years and so far it shows no wear. I purchased a leave cover a few years ago and put the leaf cover the solid cover. I helps hold the solid down during winds. When I get a nice sunny day in the first three months I take the leaf cover off and empty the leaves and sometimes I put it back on to hold it down during the Spring rains. During the winters I siphon the water off by using garden hoses. I have done this procedure for the past 5 years. I would provably purchase this cover again. My neighbor uses a pillow but he has only had a pool for about three years. He tries to secure the pillow but it come loose and floats to one side. I see this year he is not using a pillow. You are welcome to try my way or keep fighting with the pillow. Your choice. Wish you well.

Answer:	I doubt anyone will be able to give you a definitive answer. Different sellers are selling this same cover and all of the reviews are aggregated together. Perhaps some sellers are selling a higher quality version while most sellers are selling one of lower quality. I just know that the one that was delivered to me looked like it was ripped to shreds by Freddy Kruger after just a few months on the pool (during a mild, eastern North Carolina winter I might add).

I have it installed the way the warranty requires. When it rains water gets on top of the cover and actually holds it in place better. With pillows and jugs of water hanging off the sides you can guarantee your cover will have to be replaced yearly.

The only caveat is that you should cut it with a heat knife, relatively inexpensive and will prolong the use of this material for many years. Otherwise, since it is woven it will unravel. I have used it for 2 years with excellent results in my vegetable garden and plan to use it around my home as a permanent weed block covered with wood chips. I also recommend landscaping staples with this product. I learned about this fabric from Herrick Kimble, an excellent gardener, inventor and entrepreneur. The sides are fine but the edges are tight and I have a feeling that when the snow falls the weight of it is going to rip the cover. I am actually contemplating purchasing another one. Unfortunately because we bought it in November I can't exchange it. If I go that route then hopefully I can sell it and get what I paid out of it since it's been used for not even a week. They really need to update their description and take out the extra 4 feet!!

Answer:	Advertised as a heavy duty tarp, I expected the holes to be approximately 18" apart. I have purchased several tarps advertised as heavy duty, and that was the spacing I have always seen. The 24 x 36 tarp I received has spacing no less than 32", and mostly about 36". I know it won't hold up to a strong wind like this, so I am purchasing a grommet Installation tool that is costing me about what the tarp cost. Sad that they advertise it as heavy duty just based on the thickness.

Answer:	I bought another brand 8' pool and bought this cover in 8'. Harley was right and it doesn't fit. It is about 2' too short so i am going to try this 10' to see if it fits. I will let you know what happens....!

How To Measure For The Solar Pocket

Solar Pocket consists of five j-hooks that are evenly spread to conveniently hold any solar cover up and off of the ground. Metal brackets hold the j-hooks which hangs freely off of the top rail of a swimming pool. To visualize a good placement of the Solar Pocket, simply lay your solar cover folded on the ground next to your swimming pool.

The Installation Process

Installing and assembling the Sun2Solar Solar Pocket is easy and only requires a few steps! Two bolts go into the pre-drilled holes of the top rail and through the mounting bracket which is then locked into place with two nuts. The Solar Pocket is then placed inside of the mounting bracket and held in place with another bolt and a nut.
