It is not the fluoride that is used to fluoridate our water supplies - which is sodium fluoride, fluorosilicic acid, and hydrofluorosilicates. I keep hearing it said that calcium fluoride is completely different from both of these. Dr Mercola says that while not benign, calcium fluoride is much less toxic than what's used in our water, and that its supposed bone-building effects are attributable to the calcium, not the fluorine. I hear also that it does not dissolve in water and is much less easily assimilated into our body, making it much less dangerous. Question:	I bought a Hayward W3T cell 15 for a swim pure plus but is not working
Answer:	When I replaced the original cell I had to upgrade the circuit board in the control panel to the next generation the third cell worked fine to a point. I always lacked free chlorine and had a problems with black algae. I would have to throw in a packet of shock and finely the algae was under control. To be honest I went back to the basics and I don't use the T cell anymore.

Answer:	Even though I have a dishwasher I often wash the set by hand. It's no more dangerous than any other grater/cutter.. I have never cut myself washing it (although I did julienne my finger when cutting a carrot one time - my fault). Just be sure to make all your washing strokes in the opposite direction from the one you would use when cutting and you should be fine.

Answer:	Yes, as a matter of fact, this was the main reason for me to purchase this item. If you get the 3 lb bags of apples - they are small - like a tennis ball - they slice perfectly. Start it off without the gripper so you get a flat side of the apple, then put the gripper on and slice fast! They do slice thin, probably about the thickness of a greeting card. I pop them in the oven at about 190 degrees for about 45 minutes and they turn just a tad tan and get crisp. I don't season them at all though you can sprinkle some cinnamon if you want that flavor. They turn out great and you can eat a whole gallon ziploc bag of them without any guilt!

Question:	Does it matter how its mounted horizontally? Has a card taped to cell saying this way up if mounted horizontally
Answer:	Most pictures you can see from on line advertisement are having the cell positioned like a “bridge” but the original Hayward instruction showed the cell positioned in a way that bending up. I heard the reason to have a salt cell position in that way is to prevent hydrogen it generates trapped inside the cell if pump flow is not strong enough. On the other hand, this Nu Cobalt cell can be mounted in a “bridge” look position if the pump flow is strong. If the cell you had before does not have any problem and you do not change the pump flow rate, you can keep the salt cell in the same “bridge like” position as before and I would say it is perfectly okay.

Answer:	Sorry. This cell can't compatible with Aqua Logic system now.

Answer:	Yes.

Answer:	Hayward automation system usually operate at higher current and causes the cell to lose some of their life span. Some system have a very high inrush current that can significantly reduce the lifespan. For the reasons above we are not able to warranty our cell if you use it with the automation system, but it will most likely work, just expect a (much) shorter lifespan. This would be the least expensive solution if you are selling your house and need to get the system working.
Question:	I have t 1.59v on my control board. I want to replace my t15 with t9. I have 15000 gallons. Is this t9 compatible
Answer:	Sorry. As I have no idea what control board you have. Older version of the board does not support T9, only T5 and T15 is supported. Some version of the automation system does not have thermistor to help limit the start up current, so it will wear out the cell faster, so we can not warranty the cell if used with such control board. Please give us more detail (board and version number) if you want precise answer.
