A Standard In Chlorine Generator Technology

IntelliChlor generators take electrolytic chlorine generation to a higher level of convenience, reliability and safety. But to understand why the IntelliChlor generator is better, it helps to first understand how it works. Table salt (sodium chloride) is added to the pool water less than a teaspoon of salt per gallon of pool water is all that’s required. As the dissolved salt flows through the generator cell, it is electrolytically converted to pure chlorine, which is then distributed throughout the pool, sanitizing the water, keeping it fresh, clear and safer for swimmers.

Unlike conventional chlorine additives that must be constantly replenished, the salt is recycled continuously, day after day, to further reduce pool maintenance requirements. The generator even keeps itself clean with an automatic reverse cycling feature that helps prevent scale build-up for longer cell life.

The ChlorMaker DO (drape over) includes a small control panel that can be attached to the skirt of the spa, a class 2 power supply that can be plugged into an outlet near the spa with a 15 foot cord and a chlorine generating cell that drapes over the side of the spa into the water.

Answer:	I use seventh generation free and clear liquid laundry detergent with these pods for soiled clothing and linens with great success. Does that answer you question? I have chemical sensitivity and am prone to rashes. These products together don't cause any skin irritations. Love them!

Answer:	I don't have septic but according to their website http://www.grabgreenhome.com/bleach-alternative-pods/#tab-faqs it is safe. I really like this product - it does an amazing job and I just through in with light colors - doesn't have to be all whites.
Question:	How long does the cell last? I use my spa 3-4 times a week
Answer:	Yes, I use it all the time: whites, colors, everything. I don't think it is causing more fading than I would get with a regular wash. I am a horse vet and it seems to be helping to get the clothes clean without bleaching....

Answer:	Be careful ,even Clorox if you don't get the one that says kills corona virus /99.9% of all germs. You are just gettin bleach that is just a whitener and removes stains. In other words theres 2 kinds of bleach, read carfully

Question:	How do tell what % to set the cell at
Answer:	Depending on the size of your pool I would start at the max setting. Test the chlorine level each day for a week or so and adjust accordingly. I use one an 18x33 oval pool and I have to keep it running on max to keep my chlorine at the correct level. I think my pool is the maximum size for this unit anyway. Hope that helps.

Answer:	In the trouble shooting guide, a frozen cell is an error condition, so probably can't use it in a freezer.

Answer:	I currently have an extension cord running to mine, however I will run an electrical box in conduit in the spring, just so I dont have a cord running across my patio. This has been a great product. Been using it since November with no issues. I have never had to add any chlorine since installed.

Answer:	I added way too much and had to drain my tub. Literally 1 cup at a time is best. Use a test strip specifically for salt tubs. I love it now.

Answer:	I don't think so. HOWEVER if your heater is electric and internal to the water flow you should place a sacrificial zinc between the pump and the heater. Salt corrodes the electric heating element, sacrificial zinc ensures a longer life cycle for the heating element.

Answer:	There is a chart in the instructions that gives you a basic idea, but yes just keep checking your chlorine level. If it starts getting too high cut back it’s run time if it gets too low run it longer each day.
