Answer:	The top step is 14"off the ground and is 22 1/2" long and 1 1/2" thick .The first step is 7" off the ground and 22 1/2 long and 1 1/2" thick the over all with of the steps is 28" .The step is a hollow core plastic making it very light .When placed against my hot tub because the steps are constructed with a curve front ,the back side of the step is also curved and there is a 3" radius opening on my steps .The picture sent with this request doesn't show that and maybe the set they are selling now doesn't have it. I wish my set didn't have it because people/children with small feet can have difficulty in the dark finding just the right place to put there foot. I hope this is the information needed.

Answer:	I measured from the top of the top step down to base and it is 47 inches.

Answer:	Just to make sure, these steps will only work for above ground pools if you have some form of deck around, or next to the pool. The height to the top step is 47" and my pool is 52" tall. The steps are a perfect fit and I feel that they would work very well in a 54" pool. We love these steps! I hope this has been helpful.

Answer:	Once assembled, the weight of these stairs is about 40 lbs without the sand. If your pool is completely above ground, you'll need strong bodies (2 in the pool and 2 outside the pool) to properly lift and place the stairs into the pool (you have to be careful not to inadvertantly poke/rip your liner with a stair edge or corner). I mention this because you will need to fill the stairs with sand first before placing them in the pool and the added weight of the sand will most likely make it a challenge to get the stairs into the pool. Our pool is partially surrounded by a deck so we're fortunate that we don't have to lift very much (my wife and I, both in our 40's, can get them into our above-ground pool fairly easy), but the stairs themselves are durably constructed and they're by far the best stairs we've had. They also take up less space in the pool. Another bonus - no more having to clean sand from the pool with the other stairs that are weighed down by sand bags!

Answer:	Hi, I put this stair system in last summer. My deck is built around a 27' X 48" round pool. It works great. I did have to re-enforce the top step, that attaches to the deck, because the area I wanted it was a little higher than 48". No big deal, just a piece of wood 2" x 4" x 6" the length of the top step. This is the second season I used the steps and could not be more pleased.

Question:	Is it difficult to adjust the knob once your inside the spa since the knob is facing out? Any reason this wont work with a spa that's only 29" tall
Answer:	you would place the handrail next to the tub and set the height. before installing the base under the hot tub and before filling it. it is not designed to be adjusted after that. that is why the nut faces in instead of out. tamper proof. i believe. set it once and you should be all set. it works great and is virtually bulletproof.

Answer:	I would'nt want to touch it with wet hands but you could wrap it with cloth, foam, or tape to prevent your hands sticking to it. It really is very helpful in getting in and out of the tub.

Answer:	They snap together easily. Either step can be bottom or top.

Answer:	2 ft
Question:	What are the dimensions
Answer:	Width 33". Each tread is 13" deep. First tread is 7.5" high. Top tread is 14.5" high.
Question:	Do these float if placed in water
Answer:	The treads float. The supports sink. I think the treads would float off of the supports, as they gently snap into place but come off it you lift them.
