Answer:	I was using it for a 220 Volt Pump at our other house in Indiana for a Sprinkler system. It was a few years back and I don't remember how I hooked it up. We still use it and you can remote to it very far away (300ft+). My father uses it because he is paralyzed. Next time I go out I can look. Send this message again at the end of March. Answer:	I have the round 12' w x 30" h pool that came with the 530 gph filter pump that has 1 1/4" hoses and this 1000 gph pump was a direct replacement. No hose adapters were needed. I'm not exactly sure what the model number is of the 530 gph pump but the hoses fit perfectly onto this pump. All I did was plug the inlet/outlet openings in the pool with the plugs that came with the pool and swapped out the pump. Took 5 minutes. I found a lot of the reviews here confusing because some seemed to indicate that hose adapters would be necessary but that turned out not to be the case. I'm pretty happy with this pump. Works waaaay better than the 530 gph.

In addition, for anyone making a "hillbilly pool" with a stock tank, this cannot pull water over the top. The best I can see, holes will need to be cut in the side so water can flow down into the pump.

Answer:	Yes, the lid can be hard to get off of the pump. What I use to make it easier is "O-Ring Lube", available at pool supply stores. Apply a thin coating to all mating surfaces and the O-ring seal. One other item I use is a strainer basket in the pool surface strainer, it catches most the leaves, so cleaning the basket on the pump doesn't have to be that often. Hope it helps you.

Answer:	I don’t think you can. It’s a factory warranty and if you install it I have read that the factory warranty isn’t honored when I read other customers responses. If it’s installed by a pool company it’s honored.

Answer:	It may fit depending on the hoses. I own a 12x30 Summer waves pool with 1.25 inch hose openings and I was able to use this pump. I had to purchase hose adapters and threading tape. And too my surprise it worked. I'm a 37 year old female and I'm not so handy but I put mines together. I found a video on youtube with step by step instructions. Answer:	I have a Bestway 18'x9'x48" Rectangular Frame Above Ground Pool and it works on mine. I just had to remove the screen filter that goes to the return fitting but it works perfect. Picks up leaves, berries,small sticks and sand that occasionally comes out Sand Filter. This is my 3rd unit I've had. The first I purchased was one that was said to be new but was used and had leaky hoses, returned for refund. Second One that arrived was brand new but was damaged in shipping had to returned for refund. This last one is perfect so far and has updated single hose instead of the put together one. I Leave it running when grandkids aren't in the pool have not had to skim floor or water since. Note as others said you need a strong pump. I upgrade my pool to a Sand Filter,Saltwater Chlorine Generator, In Wall Skimmer and 1 1/2 Hp Pump.

Answer:	I was going to write a review about this as I just purchased it, but Amazon wouldn't let me do it saying they were not allowing reviews on it at the moment? What the heck? Anyway, I would give it a solid 4, maybe 5 if it had been assembled properly when we got it. It works now after my husband realized what was wrong. After we got it going, it does an amazingly good job of cleaning, especially for the price. Here's a trouble shooting hint if yours doesn't move when you first try it. Hope it helps. My husband wrote the following: How to troubleshoot an Intex Auto Cleaner which will not reverseWe recently bought an Intex Auto Cleaner. When we first used it, it would move across the floor of the pool, hit a wall, and then stop. It turns out that it was improperly assembled at the factory. Here are the steps to follow to fix this problem:1. Disassemble the Auto Cleaner and open the drive assembly. There is a good YouTube video on how to do this.2. After disassembly and careful removal of the cover of the drive assembly, you will notice that there is a large gear on the left side of the drive assembly. If you manually rotate this gear, you will notice that a plastic piece that resembles an upside down "U" will move to the right, stop for a bit, then reverse direction and move to the left.3. On the cover of the drive assembly, you will notice a small lever which operates a flapper valve. This flapper valve should operate freely by hand.4. CRITICAL STEP! As you reassemble the drive assembly, ensure that the small lever is placed within the upside down "U". If it is outside of the upside down"U", your Auto Cleaner will never reverse and operate as intended.Hope this help

Answer:	The Intex is a fairly decent pool vac, but it will only pick up loose dirt and debris, like any pool vac will. Get your chemical balance right and use a hard pool brush (no metal!) to loosen up the algae, then use the pool vac to clean it up. I did learn that the standard 1500 GPH pump does not have enough output power to make this pool vac move. You'll need the 2500 GPH pump (which runs about $85 here on Amazon) and a clean filter to make it run good. You'll also find that the 2500 GPH pump does a lot better job at filtering your pool water.

Answer:	I would not advise using it unless it's a foot pedal one. The tube isn't that large but it does take a lot of air to inflate. I personally used my shop vac, switched the hose to blow outwards and taped it onto the tube. Filled up the tube in less than 5 secs.

Answer:	Foam sounds like a good idea, but it might just grow a bunch of mold.. We put ours on the exposed aggregate patio. Yes...we did...but I went to the local furniture store and asked if they had some LARGE pieces of thick cardboard. They were happy to send me with what was needed. We have the 10' pool so I used a string tied to a nail and scribed out a 10.5' circle then cut it out. This went under the pool and was covered with a tarp to help keep the cardboard from deteriorating over the summer. The cardboard was to keep the pool from getting holes from all the bouncing around that the kids do and to give it enough cushion if they fall. It has worked great.I looked at buying indoor outdoor carpet but it was more than I was willing to spend.. Sooooooo....This year I hit on a sale at Harbor Freight (sorry Amazon) and bought a bunch of those Anti-Fatigue Foam Mat sets of 4 with a 20% coupon, making them 6$ each. I think they will work great!!

Question:	Do i have to have a different pump to make it saltwater
Answer:	you use both the pump that comes with the pool and a saltwater pump that you have to purchase or acquire separately. the water goes through the pool pump first and then into the saltwater pump then back into the pool. The pool pump has to be on when the saltwater system is on. The saltwater system has a timer on it. You set the timer to run so many hours depending on the size of your pool. A 15' by 42" pool, the saltwater should be set for 3hours, usually after the sun sets so the chlorine will stay in the water longer. The saltwater pump will come on everyday at the same time. It only needs reset if for some reason it gets shut off.When the saltwater pump is not making chlorine the water simply flows through it and into the pool. My saltwater pump lasted about 9 years and it left the water crystal clear. Had to put 100 pounds of pool salt in at beginning of each season. Make sure the pool pump has been running about 1 day before setting the timer on saltwater pump. I always ran the pool pump 24/7. No problem with pool pump either. Just change filters about every few weeks.

Answer:	I would say no, this pump has a filter basket but it’s mainly used to prevent particles getting into the pump “basically a can can”. Question:	The description states aluminum tube set, what type of metal is used for the base, casters, screws, bolts and reel? I have a saltwater pool
Answer:	I have a saltwater pool also. The reel is aluminum. The hardware is steel with chrome plating, the legs are steel with plated chrome plating and rubber and the wheels are steel with painted hubs. So far after owning this 4 years I believe, it’s performed and lasted well. I have had trouble with the Velcro straps though and the plastic grips to attach the solar cover to the Velcro strips on the reel. Very cheesy way to mount.
Question:	Is this reel adjustable, meaning if I buy a 20 foot, can the pole be 16 feet, without the extra length
Answer:	Yes. When you put it together there is two sections that slide, one inside the other. Like a curtain rod, you adjust the length you need. So, it supports up to 21 foot in length, you only need 16 foot, you initially adjust it to your need. If you look closely at the photo, you'll see the difference in circumference at the half way mark.
Question:	Will a 16 mil cover 40 feet long fit and wind up all of the way on this reel? Will it sag In the middle
Answer:	I have a 16 mil 36 ft long on this reel with no sag.
Question:	Will the clips to attach to the cover puncture it? Also, I received a baggie with 2 long straps and 2 long cup hooks. What is that
Answer:	yes the clips do puncture the cover but thats how they attach to the cover, the straps then attach to the reel with a sticky substance and velcro pieces, but the sticky doesnt last long, my husband actually drilled the straps onto the real with screws and that keeps the straps in perfectly. i dont know what hooks your reffering to though..
Question:	found this under "In the Swim Pool Supplies" and it shows the bubbled blue cover. I add to wish list, and grey version shown. Which is it
Answer:	The cover we received was blue and 12mil, but I believe that there is a cover that's silver/grey in color,supposedly more heat reflective into the water. (Also more expensive.)
Question:	Do you cut to just hit pool edge or leave a bit to fold up edge
Answer:	You can cut to have an over lap up the sides of the pool it helps to keep the leaves out of the pool, if you have a reel to roll it up for storage, it must be the same width of your reel poles.
