Answer:	The skimmer comes with a butterfly gasket. It provides the gasket for both inside and outside of the pool and also helps keep chlorinated water from contacting (and rusting) the pool wall. Butterfly = think of two gaskets which are joined at the outer edge and therefore capable of being slipped over the square pool opening; kind-of-like your index and middle fingers which meet at the bottom. It works well.
Question:	Will the hose connections fit the intex hoses with the threaded nut? Like with the Intex 56671EG 2,650-Gallon Sand Filter Pump
Answer:	David, they do not fit. Intex uses odd sizing so you have to be creative. I hard plumbed my skimmer to my sand filter. On the filter side I reused the nut from the Intex hose but on the skimmer side I glued PVC to the skimmer. I know it is hard to visualize. Check out this website there is a ton of info on there. Answer:	It’s very easy. With water just below the desired level install the skimmer by using a sharp object to punch out the screw holes. Once it is installed and right THEN take a razor blade and cut out the square opening.

Answer:	Have purchased a couple over the years, but not all models come with one. Make sure the one you bought is designed to have one. If the bill of materials says you should have one, call them and get one. Take it back to the store and get one. Replacement parts I've boughten on amazon have worked well.

Answer:	Jeez. All pool cleaners get jammed every once and a while from debris, leaves, twigs being sucked into the mechanism. If you're going to buy and use your own equipment, you need to learn how to clean out anything it sucked up. With my pine trees, I might have to clean it once a week. To the other people replying--don't blame the product if you don't know how to use it. And yes, if you can't figure out how to clean it, do take it to a pool store. They'll probably show you for free, so great advice from the vendor. Yup, you do have to change the oil in your car, clean your furnace filter, and unclog your drains every once in a while.

Question:	Can you use these on the pump filter basket also
Answer:	No- the pump filter basket has to push debris into the basket through the side hole and the pressure of the water keeps it in the basket. It would not work and could block debris from getting into the basket if it blocked the opening. The skimmer baskets bring water in and the suction is under the basket so the sock stays in place and collects debris even fine particles like pollen and dirt from rain. I don’t know if they make a sock especially for the filter baskets but it would be a totally different sock.
Question:	Will this sock fit outside the basket? Pond pump use
Answer:	I've never tried it but I don't see why not. Can't do that for my inground pool application because sock would be pulled into the filter system.

Answer:	It does not open from the bottom. You turn it upside down to empty like most other baskets. The Weight they use seems to be just enough to keep it from floating up to the surface. I no longer need to put a rock in my skimmer basket. It's a nice product. Mine is a few years old now and still looks like new.

Answer:	About 6.75" from top of basket. Or about 12 1/4 from base. Easily fit into my skimmer well.
Question:	Can this be used with a skimmer sock
Answer:	I had to look and see what a skimmer sock was. Look at the pictures and judge for yourself. It looks like if the diameter of the sock matches the diameter of the basket, then it would work, except that the handle will be in the way. But it looks like you could work around the handle. The handle does mount on the inside of the basket with two screws from the outside, if that isn't clear in the pictures. In other words, you'd have to stretch the sock around the handle in that area. Does that help?

Answer:	I don't know the weight capacity but I don't consider it "heavy duty" as it was too floppy to lift leaves from the bottom of the pool. Answer:	Apparently there are 24” rakes available - only not by US Pool Supply. I counted 15 different vendor names.

Answer:	IDK, but don't get it. Mine came to me broken in the box. Returned and replaced item lasted about a week before it broke.

Answer:	Search for intex skimmer net. 2 for $13. I have a large aboveground upgrade but my intex pole. The end of net needs to be 11/16. I just found them. No other will fit

Question:	Do you drag this on the bottom to pick up leaves
Answer:	I wouldn't have a pool without this. I have an inground pool and yes I use it to skim out debris and leaves from the bottom of the pool. I usually do it gently as I don't want to rip my liner but it works well. When I bought my home, the pool hadn't been open in 5 years and it was full of leaves and debris. It took me a month to get it to turn from a frog pond to a clear blue pool, and I never would have been able to get it that way without this. I hope this helps, thank you.

Answer:	No it does not! Buy the pole that it shows in the customers also bought this feild.

Answer:	I just got one, and I won't buy it again.... it is flimsy! I am hesitating whether to return it or just let it stay until it breaks (which I fear will come soon!) It is only 15.75" wide at the widest and the net is very thin.
