Answer:	I presume so, the effect of using this product is microscopic particles clump together and form a paste-like substance around the tub at the water line, which leaves the water clear. You will need to wipe off the spa at the water line to "finish" the process. If your spa has a porous surface at the water line, it would be a mess, but ceramic tile shouldn't be too hard to clean. Question:	I have been using these Bromine tabs for 3 + weeks, & no reading on test strips? I heard to an oxidizer? Is there someting to activate the bromine
Answer:	Hi, We are the manufacturer of Clorox Pool&Spa products. Not getting a bromine reading could be due to a few things. The first would be there not being enough tablets to give a good sanitizer level. Bromine tablets are extremely slow dissolving, so it could take more tablets to give a stable reading. The next would be having an abundance of contaminants in the water that's causing a bromine demand. For that situation, it's best to shock the water with a fast dissolving type of bromine or chlorine to quickly destroy those contaminants. A less common cause of a 0 bromine reading would be having an extremely high bromine level in the water. High levels of bromine can react with test strips and liquid reagent test kits and bleach the testing reagents, making them appear low or 0. Bromine chemistry does involve shocking the water with either bromine, chlorine or an oxygen based shock to reactivate the bromide salts in the water. However, the scenarios above still apply following the shocking. If you have any other questions or concerns, please give us a call at 1-800-SOS-POOL.

To answer your question (and explain why I'm not a "verified buyer") ours DID come with a brown tarp. It's really thin but that is the "ground cover" they refer to that it comes with. We put it on our brick patio, with puzzle piece foam pieces sandwiched in between THEIR ground cover (again a super thin tarp) and OUR thicker tarp. With the foam puzzle pieces sandwiched in between, it feels really nice and I feel better about rocks and grass not getting through.

Answer:	I have t found anything yet to totally clean it out. Did okay, but only cleared the smell a few days.

Answer:	Not really. There's a VERY mild smell of, well, cleaner, but not a strong disinfectant smell or fake perfume odor.

Answer:	Whirl Out does do some cleanout of minerals, but I'm not sure exactly what, except that it cleans pretty well. The best product I've found so far is called "Oh Yuk Jetted Tub System Cleaner." It has been taking care of our bacterial iron that had been accumulating in the pipes. It dissolves a lot of it, and WhirlOut does too, but not quite as good. I have found using warm to hot water in both the cleaning and the rinse helps. The problem is, for me, that I'm not sure what harsh chemicals I can use or not use in the jacuzzi tub. If I could use anything, I would pick Iron Out. It might sound funny or silly, but for very small corroded items, Efferdent (for cleaning dentures) does an excellent job. I was looking for something to clean a partial, and one of the reviews for Efferdent was a guy who uses it to clean the minerals, calcium, etc, from his toilet. I tried Efferent in the toilet and it actually did a fairly decent job. With hot water, I think it could have done better.Hope these suggestions help.Ingrid

Answer:	Not certain what you are referring to by "UV Protectant" but bromine does not contain cyanuric acid (often referred to as a stabilizer) which would help prevent sunlight from "using" up the free available sanitizer. TriChlor / chlorine is typically used in swimming pools where the water is exposed to sunlight for extended periods of time. When using cyanuric acid it is important to test CYA levels to ensure it does not exceed 15 ppm.
Question:	Will these dissolve/fall apart after a certain period of time (like competitive product)? We have a hot tub
Answer:	Your hot tub company should have educated you on what you need—usually they will sell a variety of additives. You should know how many gallons your tub holds for the most accurate chemical addition. You will need test strips to determine pH and bromine level. We use a floating container with 5 of these bromine tablets in our 400 gallon tub. There are ‘pH-up’ and ‘pH- down’ additives. You can tell how much to add by using the test strips. Again, your dealer should walk you through this. Or go to any hot tub store and ask them to explain it. Make sure you know whether your starting water is ‘hard’ or ‘soft’, as well.

Question:	They arent working. Ibhave 4 sitting in open air for the last 2 days and 2 in the hot tub. None of them have opened up. How do you get these to work
Answer:	You just toss the turtles in your pool or hot tub, it takes about 12 to 24 hours to see a change in color, they don't expand once they hit the water. If you have had the turtles in for the period mentioned above, and there is no change in color, you either have a very clean pool, or hot tub, or you need to leave them in for a couple of days, or they are not working, and then, I would try reaching out to the company.
