Picks up leaves, berries,small sticks and sand that occasionally comes out Sand Filter. This is my 3rd unit I've had. The first I purchased was one that was said to be new but was used and had leaky hoses, returned for refund. Second One that arrived was brand new but was damaged in shipping had to returned for refund. This last one is perfect so far and has updated single hose instead of the put together one. I Leave it running when grandkids aren't in the pool have not had to skim floor or water since. Note as others said you need a strong pump. I upgrade my pool to a Sand Filter,Saltwater Chlorine Generator, In Wall Skimmer and 1 1/2 Hp Pump.

Answer:	I was going to write a review about this as I just purchased it, but Amazon wouldn't let me do it saying they were not allowing reviews on it at the moment? What the heck? Anyway, I would give it a solid 4, maybe 5 if it had been assembled properly when we got it. It works now after my husband realized what was wrong. After we got it going, it does an amazingly good job of cleaning, especially for the price. Here's a trouble shooting hint if yours doesn't move when you first try it. Hope it helps. My husband wrote the following: How to troubleshoot an Intex Auto Cleaner which will not reverseWe recently bought an Intex Auto Cleaner. When we first used it, it would move across the floor of the pool, hit a wall, and then stop. It turns out that it was improperly assembled at the factory. Here are the steps to follow to fix this problem:1. Disassemble the Auto Cleaner and open the drive assembly. There is a good YouTube video on how to do this.2. After disassembly and careful removal of the cover of the drive assembly, you will notice that there is a large gear on the left side of the drive assembly. If you manually rotate this gear, you will notice that a plastic piece that resembles an upside down "U" will move to the right, stop for a bit, then reverse direction and move to the left.3. On the cover of the drive assembly, you will notice a small lever which operates a flapper valve. This flapper valve should operate freely by hand.4. CRITICAL STEP! As you reassemble the drive assembly, ensure that the small lever is placed within the upside down "U". Answer:	The Intex is a fairly decent pool vac, but it will only pick up loose dirt and debris, like any pool vac will. Get your chemical balance right and use a hard pool brush (no metal!) to loosen up the algae, then use the pool vac to clean it up. I did learn that the standard 1500 GPH pump does not have enough output power to make this pool vac move. You'll need the 2500 GPH pump (which runs about $85 here on Amazon) and a clean filter to make it run good. You'll also find that the 2500 GPH pump does a lot better job at filtering your pool water.

Answer:	Jeez. All pool cleaners get jammed every once and a while from debris, leaves, twigs being sucked into the mechanism. If you're going to buy and use your own equipment, you need to learn how to clean out anything it sucked up. With my pine trees, I might have to clean it once a week. To the other people replying--don't blame the product if you don't know how to use it. And yes, if you can't figure out how to clean it, do take it to a pool store. They'll probably show you for free, so great advice from the vendor. Yup, you do have to change the oil in your car, clean your furnace filter, and unclog your drains every once in a while.

Answer:	It comes with a very short pole, but unless you are Hercules don't buy it. It doesn't have an on/off switch so it has to be opened and closed to turn it on and off. Sounds simple but it is ridiculously difficult. And be prepared to take the entire thing apart each time you use it otherwise the contacts corrode. I read both issues in other reviews and bought it anyway....Stupid me!

Answer:	Same thing happened to mine . . . took it apart and let it air out -- no success! I think there's a flaw in the design because it should be waterproof or not able to get water in it all . . . this thing is terrible!

At that time the Tiger Shark was the king but there are better designed models out there unless Hayward re-designed the unit.

How long can I leave my Dolphin in the pool?

We recommend taking your Dolphin out of the pool after each use to empty and rinse the filters and to rinse off any excess chemicals. It is ideal to keep your Dolphin out of the pool and stored away when not in use. If your Dolphin has a weekly scheduler, you can keep it in your pool for a week, but you will need to make sure the filter is cleaned.

How to set the weekly timer

When the power supply is switched on, you can press the weekly timer button to select one of the following cleaning schedules for the week ahead: One click: The robot will automatically work every day for a full cycle. This cycle will have the robot clean seven times in a week. Two clicks: The robot will automatically work every other day for a full cycle; that is four times in a week. Three clicks: The robot will automatically work every three days; that is three times in a week. A fourth click will cancel the cleaning schedule program. After selecting one of the schedule options, the robot will start to operate at the next occurrence of the programed start time. If the robot is working in the weekly timer mode, the weekly timer button will constantly blink between cycles. At the end of the week, the power supply will automatically switch off and you will need to reschedule the robot.

How to take the robot out of the pool?

Gently pull on the blue floating cable to bring your Dolphin to the edge of the pool. Once your Dolphin is in reach, grasp the handle to pull the robot out of the water. Place the robot on the edge of the pool to let the remaining water drain out. Do not pull the Dolphin out of the water using the cable.

How to clean the filters

Cleaning the filters are simple. Just remove the filter(s) from the robot, release the latch to let the dirt and debris fall out, and then hose off any remaining debris. Do not let the filters dry out before cleaning them. Clogged filters reduce the effectiveness of the cleaning. We suggest cleaning your filters every two months. Bag filters can be washed in the washing machine at 30 degrees, using a synthetic wash cycle, and allow to air dry. Cartridge filters can be clean in the dishwasher at 30 degrees. Although the filters may look clean, small particles may dry into the filter material and clog the filters.

Answer:	No, it can't go rancid. It will try to solidify if it gets cold but this neem is not as solid (as though it straight from the tree) as some other brands. If it solidifies you can place the bottle in a bowl of warm water so it can melt. Don't put it in the microwave and don't heat it on the stove or in a pot. Heating it like that will kill the healing properties. Neem smells really, really, really bad so mix it with olive oil or lavender oil or anything. After you put it on your skin or hair the smell goes away after a few hours. Aslo, it only smells while it's in the bottle. Once you put it on your skin it doesn't smell so bad and you only need one or two drops anyway. Neem is GREAT. Good luck and be well.

Answer:	Have purchased a couple over the years, but not all models come with one. Make sure the one you bought is designed to have one. If the bill of materials says you should have one, call them and get one. Take it back to the store and get one. Replacement parts I've boughten on amazon have worked well.

Answer:	I think it would pick it up. The only question would be if the silt was so fine it might actually go through the filter back into the fountain. If this happened, you don't have to drain the water back into the fountain.. just hold all the water / silt in the catch tube and then drain it on the ground. Hope this helps.
Question:	Could this be used in a kiddie pool? Or must the shamber be submerged fully in water in order to suck up debris
Answer:	It's not really designed to be used in shallow water. The chamber "sucks" better the deeper it is submerged. If you were to lay it on its side in a kiddie pool, and it's underwater, it will pull water (and debris) into it but not with much force. If it's 1-3 feet or more underwater it has a lot of pull. For your kiddie pool this is probably not so much bang for your buck. But then again I'm not sure what would work better for cheaper. Good luck.

Answer:	Only if the fountain is deeper than the large part of the unit and the area to be cleaned is small. The cleaning vacuum is of very short duration.
Question:	How do i remove the filter to clean it
Answer:	The bottom plastic screws off so that the dirty filter can be cleaned. Just use a water hose to wash it out. A tip...keep it straight up while doing so or your dirt will get in the barrel and you will have to clean that too...a minor thing, just wash it out (but I try not to make extra work). It is a nifty gadget...simple concept, inexpensive.
