Answer:	you use both the pump that comes with the pool and a saltwater pump that you have to purchase or acquire separately. the water goes through the pool pump first and then into the saltwater pump then back into the pool. The pool pump has to be on when the saltwater system is on. The saltwater system has a timer on it. You set the timer to run so many hours depending on the size of your pool. A 15' by 42" pool, the saltwater should be set for 3hours, usually after the sun sets so the chlorine will stay in the water longer. The saltwater pump will come on everyday at the same time. It only needs reset if for some reason it gets shut off.When the saltwater pump is not making chlorine the water simply flows through it and into the pool. My saltwater pump lasted about 9 years and it left the water crystal clear. Had to put 100 pounds of pool salt in at beginning of each season. Make sure the pool pump has been running about 1 day before setting the timer on saltwater pump. I always ran the pool pump 24/7. No problem with pool pump either. Just change filters about every few weeks.

Answer:	It has a dual-outlet suction setup... Ie: 2 hoses connect to a T-adapter, then feed water to the pump and one "filtered" water return.

Answer:	Yes you can leave it up. Drain below the fittings and store the pump and hoses in a garage or shed. We just opened ours after leaving it up all winter and it was just fine. I live in Wisconsin.
Question:	if you can't use sand as a foundation how do you level the ground
Answer:	We have had our 24' round Intex pool for 13 years. When we installed it, we used round concrete stepping stones at each leg. We used a transit to level each stepping stone with a plus or minus 1/8" tolerance. A LEVEL pool will last longer. After we had leveled all the stepping stones, we filled the area with sand. We used a LONG 2x6 on edge to squeegee the sand level with the top of the stepping stones. We have replaced the pump several times. We upgraded to a large sand filter and better pump and hoses. NOT INTEX. We needed to change all the fittings. It was worth the cost to upgrage. We also oversized both the pump and filter. We only used a salt water system one time. While I love the water feel of a salt system, salt is CORROSIVE! I will not use a salt system again. Our frame is showing some rust. Expected wear after 13 years. The vinyl liner has begun to fray as well, but that is an easy fix. Amazon sells a blue vinyl flexible spray for $7.50 per can. The blue matches the blue Intex vinyl well. It took 2 cans to paint the top rails. The prep time and expense is worth it to extend the life of your pool. You said you can't use sand. To protect the bottom of your pool liner, I encourage you to figure out how to get sand under your pool. After 13 years, we still have our original liner and we have never had a hole. Question:	can you leave this up over winter month
Answer:	I bought my 18' X 48" in 2013 and have never drained it over the winter. I live in Indianapolis and I just purchased a cheap pool cover ($30) that is black on one side and blue on the other. When closing the pool in October, I just make sure the cover is floating on the water, I load it with a couple bags of chlorine and a quart of Algaecide. I cover the valves with faucet covers like you put on your outside spigots on your home. I use plastic spring clamps on the cover available at Harbour Freight, about 12 of them. I put my pump in the garage and drain the sand filter. In the spring, just remove the cover, clean debris, reattach hoses add chlorine and algaecide and start pump. I use the cover to maintain the water temp in summer, those bubble solar covers don't work and are expensive. I like my pool water in the middle 80's. If it gets too warm, leave the cover off one night. Hope this helps

In The Swim Super Poxy Shield Epoxy-Base Swimming Pool Paint

In The Swim Super Poxy Shield pool paint is the highest-quality epoxy pool coating available. A single coat lasts up to 8 years. If you are painting a bare surface, please make sure you prime the surface before rolling the Super Poxy Shield. Super Poxy Shield over an Epoxy Primer will deliver a stain-resistant, tile-like finish on the pools interior. Due to the tile-like finish, we suggest sprinkling sand on the coating before it dries for steps, shallow areas and wading pools. This will make these areas slip-resistant. Start rolling paint with the walls of the pool first and finish with the floor last. Coverage: Approximately 125 - 150 square feet average per gallon. Should be applied liberally using a 1/2" nap roller cover. Pot Life: 30 minutes at 85°F and above.

Curing Time

Curing time will vary depending on the outside ambient air temperature. If the outside ambient air temperature is 60 - 65° F cure time will be 6 days. For every 5° F lift in outside ambient air temperature that will cut a day off of the cure time.

Determine Area Size

Determining the square foot of the area you are going to paint is important. This will help you figure out how many gallons of paint are needed to complete the job. It’s important to take the surface porosity and smoothness into account. When looking at how much paint you should purchase. Start by measuring the length and width of the area. Once you have those measurements plug them into the formulas below. Divide that number by the coverage square foot of the paint you are wanting to use. That will give you the number of gallons that you should purchase. Remember to look and see if the paint requires single or multiple coats and if it needs a primer.

Drain Water

Now that you have selected the paint type and know the square footage of the interior, it’s time to drain the pool. Rent or purchase a submersible pump. As soon as the outside ambient air temperature drops below 85° F. Check the local code for where pool water can be drained and start pumping. If the outside ambient air temperature is above 85° F stop draining the pool. At these elevated temperatures, the interior surface can crack and lose its structural integrity. While the pool is draining, remember that you can start to prepare the pool for paint.

Prepare for Paint

Now that the pool has been drained, you can start to prep the interior for paint. Start by removing the perimeter return jets, pool/spa light, main drain covers, aerator fittings and any other item you don’t want painted. Using painters tape, carefully tape off all the tile line, step/bench tiles, return lines, and skimmer mouth. Once you have everything taped off it’s time to prime.

Primer Coat

Now that the pool has been drained and taped, it’s time to prime. Remember not all types of paint use a primer. So if you have paint that doesn’t use a primer, skip to the painting step. Roll the primer onto the interior surface of the pool using a 9” roller with a ½” nap, starting with the walls and ending with the floor. Once you’ve completed priming allow the prime to cure for 24 - 48 hours. Then it’s time to paint.

Painting Interior

The pool has now been drained, taped, and primed. It’s time for paint. The type of paint you choose will determine the number of coats. Start painting the walls first and finish with the floor. If the paint you are using requires a time period in between coats, make sure you take that time. It will allow the paint to cure and harden increasing its chemical resistance and life span. It is suggested for steps, shallow areas and wading pools, sprinkle sand on the coating before it dries to make the area slip-resistant.

Fill and Balance

Now that the pool is painted and the paint has cured, it’s time to fill the pool and balance the water. Depending on your area you may need to order a water truck to deliver. If you have a garden hose available, toss it in. The average pool should take anywhere from 36 - 48 hours to fill. Once the pool is full allow the fresh water to circulate for 3 - 4 hours. After the circulation period it’s time to complete the first water test of many on the new water. Make sure to test the water weekly to maintain proper water balance and overall pool health.

In The Swim Epoxy Primer for Epoxy-Base Swimming Pool Paints

In The Swim Epoxy Primer is for use on uncoated concrete or plaster interiors. Epoxy primer soaks into the interior surface sealing and provides a surface for the epoxy paint to adhere too. Epoxy Primer can be used on damp surfaces. This will cut prep time allowing the pool to be prepped and primed in one day. It is not suggested to use the Epoxy Primer over an existing coating. In The Swim Epoxy Primer should be applied with a roller. Coverage: 200 - 250 sq ft per gallon on average. Apply this product liberally using a 1/2" nap roller cover. Pot Life: 2 hours at 90° F. Curing Time before rolling Super Poxy Shield 24 - 48 hours.

Determine Area Size

Determining the square foot of the area you are going to paint is important. This will help you figure out how many gallons of paint are needed to complete the job. It’s important to take the surface porosity and smoothness into account. When looking at how much paint you should purchase. Start by measuring the length and width of the area. Once you have those measurements plug them into the formulas below. Divide that number by the coverage square foot of the paint you are wanting to use. That will give you the number of gallons that you should purchase. Remember to look and see if the paint requires single or multiple coats and if it needs a primer.

Drain Water

Now that you have selected the paint type and know the square footage of the interior, it’s time to drain the pool. Rent or purchase a submersible pump. As soon as the outside ambient air temperature drops below 85° F. Check the local code for where pool water can be drained and start pumping. If the outside ambient air temperature is above 85° F stop draining the pool. At these elevated temperatures, the interior surface can crack and lose its structural integrity. While the pool is draining, remember that you can start to prepare the pool for paint.

Prepare for Paint

Now that the pool has been drained, you can start to prep the interior for paint. Start by removing the perimeter return jets, pool/spa light, main drain covers, aerator fittings and any other item you don’t want painted. Using painters tape, carefully tape off all the tile line, step/bench tiles, return lines, and skimmer mouth. Once you have everything taped off it’s time to prime.

Primer Coat

Now that the pool has been drained and taped, it’s time to prime. Remember not all types of paint use a primer. So if you have paint that doesn’t use a primer, skip to the painting step. Roll the primer onto the interior surface of the pool using a 9” roller with a ½” nap, starting with the walls and ending with the floor. Once you’ve completed priming allow the prime to cure for 24 - 48 hours. Then it’s time to paint.

Painting Interior

The pool has now been drained, taped, and primed. It’s time for paint. The type of paint you choose will determine the number of coats. Start painting the walls first and finish with the floor. If the paint you are using requires a time period in between coats, make sure you take that time. It will allow the paint to cure and harden increasing its chemical resistance and life span. It is suggested for steps, shallow areas and wading pools, sprinkle sand on the coating before it dries to make the area slip-resistant.

Fill and Balance

Now that the pool is painted and the paint has cured, it’s time to fill the pool and balance the water. Depending on your area you may need to order a water truck to deliver. If you have a garden hose available, toss it in. The average pool should take anywhere from 36 - 48 hours to fill. Once the pool is full allow the fresh water to circulate for 3 - 4 hours. After the circulation period it’s time to complete the first water test of many on the new water. Make sure to test the water weekly to maintain proper water balance and overall pool health.

Answer:	I recently did a kidney shaped pool with similar dimensions and purchased 7 cans and used 6, I was always taught to do Lenght x Width x 1.65 and divide that by the sqft each can is recommend to cover

Answer:	Yes you can paint right over your existing pool paint as long as your positive it’s epoxy. This is a one coat application because it goes on so thick but there is not a primer in it, they sell a separate primer but would not be needed as long as you thoroughly clean the pool with Tri Sodium Phosphate and get rid of any lose or chipping paint, if the surface is in very poor condition you may want to consider using Muriatic Acid as well at TSP.

Answer:	The product is two-part, and it comes in two containers. No other mixing is required. I broke the point off of a "Paddle" drill bit, and used that for mixing on a cordless drill. I only mixed part of each container, so I did not use it all. I bought some marked "cups" at Lowe's for measuring. I am very satisfied with this product.
