Therefore, it does not glow as advertised, but due to a chemical reaction that is harmful to customers, the sun passing through the low grade plastic, the result is a quacking noise. Be assured that this noise is due to radioactive nature of the sun mixed with the poorly made plastic. In fact, we have had reports of the duck flying away at night (not glowing) and returning the next morning. On theory is that the chlorine mixes with the cheap plastic that fails to make the the duck glow and causes a harmful reaction that brings the duck to life. So, while the quack is surely annoying, it’s common. |

Then looking at the picture you can see the bottom thinner round piece, when you pick the duck up this piece extends 4 to 5 inches and has 8 holes(max) in each side to allow the chlorine to come out. You twist this piece to adjust the holes per gallons in your pool, 8 being the most holes (16 total) for 40,000 gallons and 2 holes (4 total) being the least for 10,000 gallons. It was really cute floating around in the pool when it sat flat and lit up. Hope this helps. |

Put Your Critter to Work
They're not just for show. Maintaining the proper chlorine balance is critical for any pool or spa, so choose one of these fun floating characters to do the work for you. Simply add chlorine tablets (up to 3") to the dispenser, ensuring that the adjustable ring is in an open position and set in the water. After 24 hours, test the chloring level. If more or less chlorine is needed, twist the adjustable ring to allow for more or less chlorine to be dispensed into the water. Also, the person who said you need a filtration system for these to work is right. These are way overkill for a kiddie pool!! If yours doesn’t have a filtration system, I would just stick to dumping it and refilling every couple days. Hope this helps. |

Formulated to Prevent Chlorine Loss
HTH Super 3" Chlorinating Tablets are formulated with cyanuric acid (CYA) to help protect against chlorine loss, and they contain built-in algae protection and clarifier.
1. Test and Balance pH Levels
First, make sure the pH of the water is balanced. If the pH is too high or too low, the chlorine sanitizer won’t work as effectively. The ideal pH range is between 7.2 and 7.8.
2. Proper Sanitization Requires Circulation
HTH Super 3" Chlorinating Tablets release chlorine slowly. Run your pump at least 8 hours per day (or night) to ensure your water is properly sanitized.
3. Apply to Feeder, Floater or Skimmer
Place one tablet in pool feeder, floater or skimmer per 10,000 gallons of water every week or as often as needed to maintain a chlorine residual of 1-4 ppm. Do not add directly to the pool as this can cause damage to pool surfaces.
