Answer:	Hi, yes there is a paddle like design that "vacuums" the debris from the water. It does not just drift it, there is force that sucks in the debris into the basket. It should be able to suck up gnats.

Answer:	I Fixed the solid Red light issue. For me, the paddle motor in front of the basket seized. I unscrewed the white side panel on the side of the the motor that turns the paddle. I removed the motor, cleaned it with wd40 while spinning it with my hand. I then turned it on to see it spinning. Motor was rusty. This corrosion will clearly happen regularly. It probably happens to the props as well based on some of these postings. Now I know the maintenance routine. I called them the day before, about the solid red light. They didn't give me so much as a clue! There is no way they don't expect this to happen every few months. I had it for 3 months and based on these questions and comments, it's happening to a lot of people. Maybe fixing it is part of the side money they make?

Question:	do you have to replace the copper tube and where do you get one
Answer:	If you clean it, generally it does not need to be replaced. I found the best way to clean it is put the copper unit into vinegar. Let it stay in for a couple of hours and clean it using the brush. You can purchase an extra unit, not sure of the store, as I have seen it before just look on the internet.
Question:	How good is to to keep algae out
Answer:	I live in Florida. I purchase the unit because of it's low price, for my screened pool and it is for 32000 gals pools. As of today, I am happy with the unit it has cut down my algae problem and purchase of algae preventive products. It appears to be working. However, I have a Nautilus cc Plus pool cleaner and it removes the algae from the walls & bottom of my pool.

Answer:	the wheels need to be submersed in water as they act like a ballast. the machine sinks back down when the water drains from the wheels. This is good so the machine doesn't climb out of the pool. if your ledge & seating area are shallow, 24 inches, then no, the machine will not clean those parts. we use a pool brush to get the shallow bits before we activate the dolphin. we have pebbletech & the scrubbers do a fantastic job of cleaning

Answer:	When you buy the premier both bag and filter comes with the purchase. Both of them I use. If you have a. Lot of debris and leaves use the bag, then the next day filter. Answer:	Yes, it rarely gets stuck on our drain, maybe once every 10 cleanings. However, Maytronics provides a free outlet flow diverter attachment (I had to call to request) that gives the cleaner a little more forward push. It is definitely an improvement, although not perfect, now it gets stuck maybe once every 20 cleanings.

Answer:	Ours cleans all but top step of granite-look composite steps, 4x8. Gets stuck for 30 sec., tops, then blasts away & backs-up. Also does vertical waterline of vinyl pool beautifully & climbs walls. Never a dirty pool; we change & wash filters each use, 2 uses if not very dirty. Answer:	Yes. It’ll work in either. “Salt Water” pools are chlorine pools. You add salt and stabilizer and the chlorinater turns it into chlorine. It’s just a lot less chlorine. My pool is this type.

Answer:	The water is pulled through the bottom as it vacuums. The debris and water is filtered though 4 sizable filters. The resulting filtered water is then expelled through the top of the device. This device is a bulldog and cleans dirt, dead algae and leaves from your pool in one round. If the whole bottom is covered in leaves, you need to do your best to get them up and finish off with the Dolphin. This device saves me from vacuuming by hand for half the day. Also, the dirt, dead algae and general crud doesn't go through your pool filter. It completely removes it all without the risk of it going right back in and it doesn't stir up the bottom and settle back down after you vacuum. Come back a few hours later and it's still clean.

How long can I leave my Dolphin in the pool?

We recommend taking your Dolphin out of the pool after each use to empty and rinse the filters and to rinse off any excess chemicals. It is ideal to keep your Dolphin out of the pool and stored away when not in use. If your Dolphin has a weekly scheduler, you can keep it in your pool for a week, but you will need to make sure the filter is cleaned.

How to use the power supply

Make sure the power supply is placed at least 12 feet from the edge of the pool. Connect the floating cable to the power supply, align the lug on the connector with the notch of the plug on the power supply, then turn clockwise. Press the ON/OFF button on the power supply to begin cleaning. The power supply for your Dolphin is not waterproof- it is water resistant. When in use, make sure it was either stored on the caddy or far away from the pool, so it does not get pulled in. Always use an electrical outlet protected with a Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) device; this will protect your Dolphin from surges in power. Do not use an extension cord or surge protector to power your Dolphin.

How to take the robot out of the pool?

Gently pull on the blue floating cable to bring your Dolphin to the edge of the pool. Once your Dolphin is in reach, grasp the handle to pull the robot out of the water. Place the robot on the edge of the pool to let the remaining water drain out. Do not pull the Dolphin out of the water using the cable.

How to store/roll/operate cable

When you Dolphin is in use, only release enough of the cable for your Dolphin to properly cover your pool. Leave the excess cable loosely rolled outside of the pool. When storing your Dolphin on a caddy, carefully wrap the cable so it does not have any kinks and place it around the top of the caddy. Once a week, unplug the cable from the power supply and unwind the tangled portions of the cable, straighten it out and leave in the sun for a few hours. This will help remove any tangling or kinks.

Answer:	A new attachment for pool wall, 30' of tubing with floats attached, check valve for movement reversal, and of course the 280 and debri trap. Basically if you had one before you just plug this one in. Great deal.
Question:	I have a polaris 360 and the hose connects to side of pool. booster pump. would this connect to same spot ? do i use pump
Answer:	No these robotic units do not connect to the pool they are different than the side suctions units, there is no booster pump they run on a power cord that is supplied. I have been using this unit only for a few weeks and it cleans well, I had a polaris 280 before. The plus is there is no cord to deal with in the pool, the down side is you have to take it in and out the pool and store it when it is not in use.

This automatic pool cleaner uses solar technology to produce electrical current, needed to ionize copper electrodes. The copper ions help govern the growth of algae and other microorganisms. The unit floats in the pool and produces copper ions, while being exposed to sunlight. Within about a week, the product efficiently regulates copper ion level for pool water.

Answer:	No. The unit produces ions in the water. There is no possibility of a stain occurring

Answer:	Yes. They are listed on amazon. Just search pool ionizer copper replacement. Select NMG brand replacement.
Question:	Is this ionizer bpa free
Answer:	I’m not 100% sure, but it probably does. The studies regarding BPA in plastics is around products that touch food. This ionizer will be on your pool and never around food, so it is completely safe.
Question:	Does this product skim the pool such that it picks up stuff floating on the top like the solar breeze
Answer:	No, this device keeps algae from forming. Once this product has been in your pool for about a week, you will not see any new algae growth going forward. Usually, pools need high levels of chlorine (shock) to prevent the pool from turning green (algae). However, with this product in the pool, you need the minimum amounts of chlorine required for a safe swimming pool. A floating skimmer with chlorine tabs is all that should be required. No pool shock treatments. I've used this device in my personal pool for years and I have never had to shock my pool. I just keep chlorine tabs in floater and the pool stays clear all summer long. Question:	What is "the adaptor?" Can it work without one
Answer:	It works. It keeps the vac from getting stuck in one place. I have always used one.
Question:	Sounds amazing but seems like it would be obstructive / ugly in the pool. Does anyone attach & reattach it so as not to always have it in the pool
Answer:	It's not too ugly. As far as detaching and reattaching, if you don't have someone that can configure a coupling to make this happen, you will not have an easy time doing this. I stopped using this product. Way too many problems with it.
Question:	Will it break off if there are waves from people jumping in the pool
Answer:	We had some good waves in my pool and it seemed to be ok. I would answer NO to your question. My opinion: If your waves are that bad, you need to control the people in it and protect your investment.
Question:	What if my return isn't threaded? Is there some kind of adapter I can use

Question:	How long does this product last
Answer:	7 years on mine and it's been very valuable. In my case, an inground 17x35, there was no accounting for prevailing winds on our site and the built-in skimmer was placed at the upwind end, while the prevailing winds blow all the debris to the opposite end rendering the skimmer almost useless. Fortunately there's a return at the downwind end and that's where this Pool Skim goes, and works very well. Only wish it came with a bigger bag (our pool has Silver Maples at each end).

Answer:	Mine came with the sweep tail .Overall I have been very happy with it. I live in an area with lots of surrounding large trees and this picks up debris well.
Question:	What's the difference in a 280 and a
Answer:	280 has two jet nozzles while the 380 has three. Also the 280 is driven by gears while the 380 is belt driven. A high maintenance item from my experience. I have owned both and the 280 will out last the 380 twice as long by my experience.

Answer:	I had a Tigershark and the basket was a pain in the butt to clean. It also would let a lot of debri back in the pool when you pulled it out. I also had the motor go out and then the next year it stopped working. It came out when everyone else was using cloth bags to catch debri. At that time the Tiger Shark was the king but there are better designed models out there unless Hayward re-designed the unit.

How long can I leave my Dolphin in the pool?

We recommend taking your Dolphin out of the pool after each use to empty and rinse the filters and to rinse off any excess chemicals. It is ideal to keep your Dolphin out of the pool and stored away when not in use. If your Dolphin has a weekly scheduler, you can keep it in your pool for a week, but you will need to make sure the filter is cleaned.

How to set the weekly timer

When the power supply is switched on, you can press the weekly timer button to select one of the following cleaning schedules for the week ahead: One click: The robot will automatically work every day for a full cycle. This cycle will have the robot clean seven times in a week. Two clicks: The robot will automatically work every other day for a full cycle; that is four times in a week. Three clicks: The robot will automatically work every three days; that is three times in a week. A fourth click will cancel the cleaning schedule program. After selecting one of the schedule options, the robot will start to operate at the next occurrence of the programed start time. If the robot is working in the weekly timer mode, the weekly timer button will constantly blink between cycles. At the end of the week, the power supply will automatically switch off and you will need to reschedule the robot.

How to take the robot out of the pool?

Gently pull on the blue floating cable to bring your Dolphin to the edge of the pool. Once your Dolphin is in reach, grasp the handle to pull the robot out of the water. Place the robot on the edge of the pool to let the remaining water drain out. Do not pull the Dolphin out of the water using the cable.

How to clean the filters

Cleaning the filters are simple. Just remove the filter(s) from the robot, release the latch to let the dirt and debris fall out, and then hose off any remaining debris. Do not let the filters dry out before cleaning them. Clogged filters reduce the effectiveness of the cleaning. We suggest cleaning your filters every two months. Bag filters can be washed in the washing machine at 30 degrees, using a synthetic wash cycle, and allow to air dry. Cartridge filters can be clean in the dishwasher at 30 degrees. Although the filters may look clean, small particles may dry into the filter material and clog the filters.
